Important announcement for OS X 10.8 users

Following Apple's WWDC announcement that OS X 10.10 "Yosemite" will be a free update, and that certain new technologies will only run on OS X 10.9 "Mavericks" and later, we are considering requiring OS X 10.9 and later for Logos 5.3. This would allow us to use Apple's latest technologies sooner, support the latest platforms better, and reduce our testing costs.

This would override our previous announcement that Logos 5.3 would support OS X 10.8 (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/80475.aspx); instead, OS X 10.8 users would be limited to Logos 5.2b (just like OS X 10.6 and 10.7). Our current usage statistics show us that we have only a small number of 10.8 users who haven't updated to 10.9 for free.

If you are an OS X 10.8 user and can’t—or won’t Smile—update to Mavericks or Yosemite, please let us know in this thread so we can make an informed decision about reducing support for this OS version.
