Android App on Chromebook?
Based on the news from the Google I/O today that Android apps will soon run on Chrome OS devices, any thoughts on if or when Logos will run on my Chromebook (aside from the Biblia web interface)?

Unless I'm missing something that is up to google. If they are going to make the chromebook OS compatible with android apps, then the logos android app should not be excluded.

From what I've read, it doesn't seem like all apps will work (not sure who needs to upgrade what to make that happen) and I haven't heard a timeline. Frankly, if the Android app will run on my Chromebook, I can strictly use my Chromebook for everything. And I'll be a very happy camper at that point.

We're not sure either. [:)] I can't imagine any reason why we (Logos) would want to prevent our apps from running on Chromebooks, but as you know, Google was pretty light on details yesterday, so I can't say for sure whether our apps will work or not. I agree that it would be really cool! It seems like if they can make Android apps run in Chrome OS, they might eventually allow Android apps to run in Chrome for Windows, Mac, & Linux. Which would be awesome! [:)]
We have a developer at Google I/O this year, so I'll send him a message this morning and see if he can find out any details today.

Drew - thanks for the reply. I didn't see a lot of details on any of the blogs I follow for tech news and wasn't sure for the process. I find myself using Logos far less these days because I hate booting into Windows. And I hate to see that resource sitting there. This probably sounds cliche, but I'm praying for the Android team that they are able to make this a reality.

Awesome catch! I just filled out the form for all our apps and listed myself as the developer contact. I'm going to make a post on our employee Faithlife group asking other employees to vote as well. Thanks TC!

I hope this vote goes well. Since Evernote is coming as well, this would totally blow away my need for Windows.

I wonder now that the first batch of apps are out in the wild, if we have any update. I did try to use the hack that is out there to get the Android app to work but I received an error. Any update from the Logos team?

We have received no information from Google on whether or app will be selected to work on Chromebooks.
