Just wondered if I could suggest you using Growl for notifications from Logos 4 on Mac? I already use Growl for a number of applications and it is awesome!
lol - rabid dog mode [:D]
I am not familiar with Growl, but searched it and read a bit. Since I don't know how this works, let me ask you this.... do you think Growl should be a replacement for the little blue logos icon? Why? Does it give a better update or more specific info? Or would they ideally work together somehow?
I'm in favor of Growl, implementing some services (Apple's dictionary), and making sure it's open to scripting on the Mac and all the other good stuff one can do with a MAc.
Joe, you don't use Growl? and you call yourself a Mac user? [:D]
They would work together, rather than a replacement. Growl really standardizes your notifications, so instead of having to watch different icons, it simply puts them in a place of your choosing, for a period of time that you select. For instance, I use Adium for IM, instead of relying on a flapping duck, off of my IM notifications appear in small transparent panes in the upper left hand corner of my screen, all my gmail and calendar events appear in the upper left. You can get really freaky and growl will send remote notifications to your iPhone, but that is over doing it a little.
If this growl from Philip or Floyd? Snoopy doesn't frighten me, but that brown dog may be another story. [:D]
I am not familiar with Growl. What does it do??
EDIT: Wow! I know God promised to answer prayers before they were asked, but I did not know that Terry was that good. He posted while I was composing. [8-|]
On the L4 Win, we get little pop up messages (see below). My suggestion is to use Growl to display these. This would be very "mac like" and would not interfere with the existing use of the blue icon.

Given the brainiacs on this board, when I see one I can actually answer I have to jump on it before the rest of you beat me too it. And by the way, I am that good [;)]
I wil give it a try and see how it works. Thanks for the tips guys :-)
Growl works really good with Skype and Gmail notifier.
