The fourth edition of this popular text is out so you might consider jumping on that so it is available in time for the September semester. Also the current third edition sales page https://www.logos.com/product/5421/how-to-read-the-bible-for-all-its-worth shows the date as 1993 which is wrong. The third edition is copyright 2003. The new ISBN is 0310517826 - 9780310517825.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm teaching Bible study this fall in my congregation so this is very valuable. The 4th edition in Kindle is very cheap right now, but most of the changes are bibliographic. Part of this is because of the 1984 NIV to 2011 NIV transition. Nothing earth-shattering and hopefully Logos will get the new edition out promptly.
This book is worth rereading every so often. We often get tangled up in minor details and this book reminds us of how to keep the main things first in focus.

The product page has both dates. If you look under Product Details you will see a publication date of 2003. Apparently when Logos updated the page they missed the top portion.
Ah, I see that now. Well I think they can fix the top and also make clear that's it's the Third Edition now that the fourth has come out. Or better yet...
Or better yet...
I like the better yet idea.
The 4th edition has made it to prepub and it's only $10.99 until April 1. That's cheaper than K so act now

Thanks, Tom. Order has been placed.
This is one of the best books that I have IMHO. The fourth edition wasn't available in Logos though so I had to buy it from a competitor. I would have preferred to buy it from Logos.
