No way to bypass downloading resources?

OK here is my next problem, thanks for your help in advance [:D]

I am trying to log in to Mac Verbum 5.2B6 with a second account on a laptop already setup with Verbum and another account. What I want to do is have it just come up, no downloads, so I can SCAN a local resource folder and get the account up without a big download of resources.

From another PC with Logos 5.2B6 installed, on the second account, I turned off Use Internet and made sure it sync'd. But when I log on with the second account, it insists on immediately trying to download resources no matter what I try. I have tried clicking the work offline box, but it still downloads and does not give me the chance to scan and exit.

How is one supposed to get a second account working on the same computer without a big download of resources?

For a Mac try https://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_Multiple_Macs#Copy_Logos_Resources_to_Mac_OS_X.

On PC use https://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers#Method_3 (the difference is that you can select a Custom install to prevent initial downloading).

In both cases you can scan a local folder of resources (incl. the resource folder of an existing installation).

This is what I normally use, yet it doesn't get far enough to have a menu to cancel download that I saw. I never get to the full open Verbum to be able to type in the scan command, it downloads resources from a little gray rectangle that looks like "Preparing Resources" and messages like that, before the app starts.

I guess that would have worked Alabama, I didn't think of that. It does seem like a bug (or at least a missing capability given the way Logos licensing works within families who might be sharing a computer)

I agree. I probably wouldn't have thought of it either until AFTERwards. [:D]
