SUGG: Rename "Hiding"

As a recently resuscitated thread clearly indicates, the use of the terms "hiding" and "hidden" easily leads to the inference that resources are not deleted from one's install when dragged to the "hidden resources" section of program settings but are merely "hidden" from the library.

Such confusion about the nature of this poorly chosen name for this program function was easily seen throughout Beta testing and has arisen constantly since v4's release.

The choice of "hiding" to describe "deleting" has also meant that a word has had to be made up to describe the reversal of the process... I shudder each time I encounter "unhide" or "unhidden"....

Please rename this function "Delete" and its counterpart "Restore"

On that resuscitated thread it was amazing how the discussion continued even after I posted 3 screen shots showing a resource get deleted from the resource when I "hid" it. This terminology should be changed to "Removed Resources" or something similar.

As my test reported on the other thread demonstrates, the resources "hidden" are indeed hidden and not deleted therefore it is correctly called "hidden resources." The question remains whether it is possible to hide resources to prevent their being redownloaded and then delete them.

[:S] - they really are deleted!!

I'm happy with the term hidden, and suggest a little help icon explaining what 'hidden' means in this context would be quite enough.

Whilst Delete may explain that a resource is deleted it will create confusion when we request users to delete a resource and we don't mean "Hide" it!! Hide is accurate in terms of the process and deleting + index removal are a by-product.

How about "remove from local hard drive" and "restore to local hard drive"

Note: A copy of your licensed resources is kept on the Logos servers, changing these settings will not affect your purchases.

Again it is a very "physical" name and it suggests you can restrict the operation to a specific "local" hard drive.
