Syncing highlights
I was reading a resource on my iPad, and highlighted some test. I used a yellow highlighter, and also an "inductive" highlighter. I expected to see the text highlighted on my computer (Macbook Pro) when I opened the resource, but it was not.
What should I do to synchronize highlights between iPad and computer?

It should happen automatically assuming you are using the same account details and both are connected to the Internet
If you go to documents.logos.com do you see the highlights in notesfile there?

Well, it is working now. Must be some sort of delay in the sync, since I opened the computer version of Logos the next day after highlighting on the iPad. At the moment the tablet highlights show up on the computer like I expected.

Thanks for the quick reply, Graham. It is working now, must have been a delay in the sync.
But I am not familiar with documents.logos.com. Is that the same as document management on Faithlife?

I see several notes files related to highlights on documents.logos.com, but I cannot find the specific highlight I'm looking for - the book is not identified in any of the three latest notes files - "Solid Colors", "Inductive", "Highlighter Pens". Nor is there a file with the title of the book I highlighted.
But as I indicated in other posts, the sync is working now, despite my not understanding what the problem was or why it should start working now.

That's good to hear

Sorry I should have been clearer. Documents.logos.com is an online copy (which is used for synching between different devices) of all the documents you create in the Logos environment.
So it is different from, but has similarities with, document management on Faithlife.

If you select the highlight on your iPad and click the "Highlight" button in the popup menu and scroll down to the bottom you will see the name of the Notes document containing the highlight.
You should find this - and the corresponding highlight - on documents.logos.com
If you are going to be doing a lot of highlighting / note taking it is worth coming up with a strategy for where you will store them.
I, and many others, tend to use a separate notes document for each resource and ensure that highlights and notes are stored in that.
You can control how this is managed using the "Document for Highlights" setting in Tools -> Settings on the iPad
Hope this helps and makes sense

Syncing doesn't automatically happen instantaneously but you can force a sync by pressing your iPad's Home button and then tapping on the Logos icon again.
