Didn't Logos have MLJ's commentaries on Acts or was it just wishful thinking?
Milkman I think you may be looking for "Studies in the Book of Acts series" but i can't find it on Logos.
Milkman
I did a quick search and here are two other studies by Martyn Lloyd-Jones on Acts.
Triumphant Christianity
Victorious Christianity
It must have been available at one time in Logos as I have it in my Logos Library.
But can't see it for sale currently on logos site.
Jim
It is still available in the Crossway D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones Collection (12 vols.)
Unfortunately though, this collection is no longer available separately. You can only get it as part of the Portfolio package.
Jacques
It was in Reformed Platinum but doesn't seem to be so anymore.
I hate to hear the Doctor's exposition of Acts is no longer available individually. Glad I got him when I did. He is tremendously popular, even though he has been dead for over 30 years now. Remember how well he did in the Logos March madness?
What absolutely baffles me is why Logos does not carry more of the Doctor's work? I have bought everything from Lloyd-Jones that Logos sells, but some of his most popular works are ignored. It the copyright owner and Logos have come to terms on much of his material, why not more - especially Studies on the Sermon on the Mount and the Romans series. His works are available as eBooks from other sources. So why not Logos. They would surely sell.
I have been reduced to making Logos Personal Books of Lloyd-Jones books that I buy from other sources. I would much prefer to buy them from Logos.
Michael, I couldn't agree with you more!

I work for a publisher that owns some rights for Lloyd-Jones' works. I would imagine that the main problem Logos has is that European and US rights are usually held by different publishers, which makes it very difficult for Logos. This is compounded by the fact that most Lloyd-Jones titles have never gone out of print, so the contracts are rarely renegotiated. Many of them date back to a period between the fifties and the seventies, and will be very, very unclear what should happen with regard to electronic publishing.
In the UK Kindle store there are only 26 books for a search of "Martyn Lloyd-Jones", compared to 368 print editions. The US store is even worse - 24 books compared to 539.

No doubt that is all true. It is amazing how popular Dr. Lloyd-Jones' expositions of Scripture remain.
But someone owns the rights to "Studies on the Sermon on the Mount" and "Romans". Kindle has obtained rights to publish "Sermon on the Mount". I have no idea if it is an exclusive right. Someone has published a PDF format of Romans (scanned image of the books, not text based) and sells it quite cheaply in the US. These are resources that would sell very well in Logos, if past history is any indication. The rights apparently are not unattainable, as other companies are obtaining them. It would seem to be worth Logos' effort to investigate.

Not some one — some different people. For the Sermon on the Mount it's Eerdmans in the US and IVP in the UK. It's not the rights are unattainable, it's that worldwide electronic rights are very difficult to get. The edition of Romans you refer to looks like an illegal copy to my eye. Banner of Truth have all the rights as far as I know, and they've hardly embraced eBooks.

That still doesn't sound that complicated to me. Both Eerdmans and IVP do business with Logos. I would not be surprised if some other Bible software company acquires rights some of these Lloyd-Jones volumes, and Logos is on the outside looking in. Then again, maybe there are not as many people who share many interest in his work as I think. Mr. Bob and the Logos people are plenty smart and know their business.
As to the Romans PDF files, you could be right. That is a pretty low price for those books, though they are just scanned images. I would like to find out if they are legal or not.
