Getting started with ipad
Sorry for asking such a basic question. Today my son gave me an old ipad and I now want Logos on it as well as on my laptop. What do I do?
Do I first need an itunes account?
Please help!

Hi Noel
Look for the App store, i don't know what apple uses for this. You would need to download the Logos ipad app. sorry that is the best i can say.
I use a galaxy tab..

Access ITunes on your iPad. You will need an account.
Running on ASUS Windows 10 I7 24 gig of ram, 1 Terabyte drive.

You'll get the best information in the ipad forum rather than general.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

In general which is preferable, iPad or Laptop?
Steve Jobs always said that there was a need for a device between an iPhone and a MacBook. An iPad fits a different niche. Personally, I find the Logos mobile app on iPad ideal for reading and making highlights. In my opinion, it is superior in every way for that task. On the other hand, the desktop version of the software is (again, in my opinion) far superior for studying (performing searches, running guides, having multiple tabs open, taking notes). The current limitations of the mobile app conform to how I described the apps... but set aside the Logos mobile and desktop apps for a second. I truly believe that the FORM of the iPad makes it better for reading, and the FORM of the MacBook makes it better for studying.
There are a number of users who are enamored with the MSFT Surface Pro (a tablet device which can run the desktop version of Logos). I would NEVER want to do that (at least in its current form). The app would have to be redesigned COMPLETELY for me to want to use L5 on a tablet... and then it would cease to be a desktop app! And that redesigned app... I would never want to use it on my MacBook!

For general reading the iPad is preferable for serious in-depth study you need to use the desktop, although the iOS (and android) versions offer some of the features like passage guide but require internet to use it fully. Items can be downloaded to the Pad for offline reading.
