The Chronological Life of Christ by Mark Moore

I am requesting this resource as it provides an interesting look at the Life of Christ Chronologically with both the comparative texts and commentary. I bought this a long time ago in QuickVerse and still have the STEP reader installed just for this book. I would enjoy having this in Logos.

I have the 2 volume set on my bookshelf. Great resource. Would be great in LOGOS.

John,
I've not seen this one. Do you have any experience with Hoehner's "Chronological Aspects of the Life of Christ?" It is much shorter apparently, but can you compare the two?
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Hi Thomas,
I am not able to compare the two. Moore's text is more on the basic side, rather than technical. Here is what I like about it, as an example from Matt 5.21-28:
"Pharisaic interpretation tended to relax the commands of God and extend the permission of God. Thus they made God’s law more “manageable.” But Jesus does just the opposite. This can be clearly seen in the chart below.
Law
Type
Pharisees
Jesus
Murder
(vv. 21-26)Command
Restrict to act
Extend to thoughts
Adultery
(vv. 27-30)Command
Restrict to act
Extend to thoughts
Divorce
(vv. 31-32)Permission
Extend for nearly any cause
Restrict to adultery
Oaths
(vv. 33-37)Command
Restrict to only certain promises
Extend to yes/no
Retaliation
(vv. 38-42)Permission
Extend to “just” causes
Restrict to nothing
Love
(vv. 43-48)Command
Restrict to neighbors
Extend to enemies
The net result was that the Pharisees made God’s law easier to keep whereas Jesus made it more difficult. "
I have not found a text that is biblically arranged, provides the suggested chronology, and a commentary discussing the texts.

Ah, well you've helped John. Moore's text looks good but it doesn't have the same goals as Hoehner's work, which is an attempt to find (as best as one may) the precise chronological dates of various points in Jesus' life, death, entry to ministry, death, ressurection etc.
I know it's not a perfect work, but I've relied pretty heavily on it.
Having seen this snippet of Moore's I would like to have it as well.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.
