Anyone running logos 5. X on an Android tablet? Especially the new Samsung Galaxy S? If so please give us some feedback on the hardware and how well the software works
Logos 5 is not supported on Android; there is however an Android app that supports a subset of Logos 5 features. Please see https://www.logos.com/android .

My wife has it running on the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which is a bit smaller and older than the Galaxy S.
Logos runs smooth and fast, and is easy to navigate. Text and images are crystal clear, and the Galaxy screen is large, so from a handling perspective, it's quite good.
Some resources are not possible to transfer to Android though.
The much bigger downside is the screen straining your eyes. The Galaxy is no e-reader like Kindle or Nook. After on it for an hour or so, I start getting eye sore.
If you need a dedicated device for running Logos, go for one of the e-ink devices mentioned in the other thread. If you need a general multi-purpose device (email, gaming, maps, calendar, spreadsheet etc.) and do some occasional reading, Samsung Galaxy seems like a good choice.

Hi JoshlnRl
I hope that is right for your name, its 3am here...
I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 I really enjoy the Logos app and that is the main thing i use my tablet for, i have over 1,300 resources downloaded to it.
Also you can change the size of the text for any resource for better viewing, I read for over an hour and do not have eye stain.
I use my favorites folders to group my collections of book for reading.
I also use Android 4.4.2 the tablet runs better.

Thanks everyone....I read the links and will stick to the eye-tiring non-e-ink android instead. Looks too complex otherwise.

Lee it still runs hot when I take it to church and use it for more than 20 min. I am looking to leave the Surface Pro "heater" home and use a thin powerful - apparently scaled down - android version of Logos going forward one day. Black Friday may have a good deal...here's hoping.

Sorry about the surface pro, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 does a good job for me, I added a 64GB SDXC also the only problem is i could not get Logos to run from the SDXC which would be nice.
But Logos is taking up 8.27GB of the 16GB internal memory with 1372 resources downloaded. I am running 4.4.2 Android. This my be helpful to think about when looking for your choice of android device.

I have the Galaxy S5 android phone, it works well on there and is quick.
To God be the Glory, great things he hath done.

Lee I bought and am enjoying the Galaxy Tab S and have settled for the android version, but I primarily use YouVersion of The Bible on it now.
I will experiment with the Logos scaled down version soon too.

The Android version is not user friendly with respect to being able to get to a Book, Chapter, and Verse in your selected default Bible quickly.
FAIL!

It might be more constructive to make a suggestion about what you'd like to see change. If I were receiving this feedback, I wouldn't really know what to do with it, because I think it's very easy to navigate to a verse in the Logos Android apps.

I have the Galaxy tab S 10 inch and I use it for Logos all the time.
It runs the Logos app extremely well and I can have several apps open and cut and paste between them easily. I have no complaints regarding eye strain after long periods of use. In fact I do 95% of my resource "reading" from the tablet rather than my computer since it works so well. To my knowledge, the screen of the tab "s" is the best of any tablet currently in production (including the any of the Ipads).
