So where is 4.0b Beta 1???
According to the Blog, 4.0a is gold and has been release to the SR people and they are already at work on 4.0b, so where is our beta? (You can't expect me to use a stable release) [;)]

There is a global shortage of bits. I'm surprised you haven't heard. As soon as they are resupplied they will be up and running again.
Until then they are keeping busy with the Christmas Cookie Bake-off, Fruit Cake Bake-off, Turkey Frying Contest, Turkey Left-over Contest, Cranberry Chili Contest, and a number of other annual Logos events. They will post the winners on the blog soon so we can be distracted from Beta withdrawal.

I was hoping we would keep busy testing the new notes function in L4.0bB1 while they were keeping busy with the Christmas Cookie Bake-off, Fruit Cake Bake-off, Turkey Frying Contest, Turkey Left-over Contest, Cranberry Chili Contest, and other annual Logos events.

I feel just the same way -- where's the beta? And, in fact, there's a beta just about ready. (Some developers were polishing 4.0a, others were already working on 4.0b features.) We just didn't want to release a completely untested new beta right before a long break. (We're closed for Christmas, and many team members are taking vacation all next week.)
You should see a 4.0b Beta 1 with cool new stuff early in January.

Actually, gonna take the family on a post-Christmas Cruise and bring in the New Year in another country for a change. Don't think I will be using the internet and updating while on the high seas!!! Atleast my IVP Essentials came in today... Rebuilding Index now and will be ready for some studying on the deck!

Ahhh, I really miss having to reindex. Nothing quite like waiting for 6 hours before the software becomes usable again.. The thrill of a really good crash and then the subsequent posting of logs to the forum, especially on a weekend...[:D]
All kidding aside, thanks to you who rush into untested territories so others do not have to. Keep up the good work. As for me, I am glad to be back to the release version.. of course when the next beta comes around I may not be able to resist the temptation to peak.. after all, you can always reindex overnight.
