Feature Request

I love this app and the desktop software. There is nothing better. The one thing that is a small but important oversight in my mind is that when I define a highlighting style on the desktop app and set it to save to a particular document, the same highlight style does not carry the document preference on the Android app. So, if I'm reading for my Christology class, for example, and save those highlights and notes to a document titled "Christology," and then take my Android to class and make a few more highlights during the lecture, those don't show up in the same place. They default to the "Custom Highlight" doc, along with any notes I might make during prayer time, for my youth group talks, or my Epistles of Paul class. It would be awesome to have that function carry through all the versions of the app, saving oodles of time sorting highlights and notes into usable documents.

I'm pretty sure this feature already exists and it appears to be working for me. Can you give more details on what you're doing?

Here's what works for me:

In Logos Desktop, open the Highlighting Tool and click "New palette" and give it a name (I used "Custom Highlights")
Right click the palette and click "Add A New Style" (I called mine "Custom Style")
Right click the palette again and choose "Save In:" and select the desired Notes Document (mine is called "My Notes")
Click the sync button to make sure your changes have sync'd up to the Logos servers
Open the Android app and wait a bit to make sure everything has sync'd down
Create a new highlight using the "Custom Style"
Notice that the highlight automatically chooses to save in the "My Notes" document.

Is this different behavior than you are seeing?

Yes, it is working differently for me. After I use a pre-defined custom highlight on the Android app, I have to edit the note and change the document from "Custom Highlight," (the preexisting default doc) to whichever note I'm looking for. Once I select one, subsequent highlights are saved in the same document, but if I close and reopen the app I have to remember to do it again, since the action doesn't seem to "stick" to the highlighting style (which was defined on the desktop app with a custom "Save In" doc). Also, if I switch between styles, say from "Christology" to "Pauline", the document doesn't automatically change. When I highlight on the desktop app, it works perfectly. Strange that we would have different experiences with it. [:^)]

Ah, I have an idea. In the Android app, go to the "Settings" screen and click "Document for highlights". Is there a check mark next to "Most Recent Note Document"? Based on your description it sounds like you're using that setting. If you want the behavior I described, you need to use "Palette-specific Note Document".
