Copy and Paste functions of Windows

I was just wondering if anyone had an easier way to copy and paste from Logos to a Pages or Word document rather than just highlighting the entire section you want to copy. The Windows version had the link that was located on the Windows task bar which enabled you to copy Bible verses, etc.. It was especially nice to copy and paste in different formats including "simple paragraph" format which was great when pasting selections from the Pslams, etc. Simply highlighting and copying the text from Logos Mac gives you the standard formating and takes way longer, especially if you are copying more than just a verse or two. If there is a way, I would really like to know, since it was one feature I used on my PC all the time. Now it takes way longer to reformat the text in my bulletins, and sermon studies. Thanks.

Not currently available for Logos for Mac. The Bible Copy Tool is something I'd really like to see in the Mac version.

That is killer. I miss that a bunch. Love to paste the passage into my sermon notes, but now the footnotes take up half the page. Can't wait until they get that into the mac layout.

Just back space to delete the footnote reference, and the footnote goes away with it.

One passage for me had 12 footnotes. You could delete some but not all. You could backspace over some, but some it would not allow. And if i paste 5 or 6 passages it gets tedious. In Windows the Copy Bible Verses was comprehensive, simple, and my favorite feature.

Hi, I don't know if this works in the Mac version of word, but in the windows version if you do a search and replace of "^f" in the "find what" box and nothing in the "Replace with:" box, then "replace all", it will delete all footnotes. Alternatively, you can find-next and the replace individual footnotes to skip the ones you want to keep.

Works in Word 2008 and Version X (2001 I believe).

Thanks for that Jack. It definitely saves time rather than going through a long passage and manually deleting footnotes and references.

I for one will be happy when MS updates Mac Office and brings back macros. I really miss using the copy and paste macros that are available to Windows users of Office 2007.

Let's see, Version X was in 2000 or 2001, then they released 2004 followed by 2008. I wouldn't expect another version soon. I would like to have my macros back, but even more important, I want Word to handle Hebrew text properly.

It wouldn't surprise me if that schedule slips again, but the good news is that Visual Basic and macros are coming back. About a year ago, Rick Schaut, one of the lead programmers for MacWord told me that right to left text will be included in the next version of Word.

That will be the very best upgrade Microsoft ever offered. I hang on to my ancient copy of Word for the Macros. While Mellel can handle right to left text, it is cumbersome to use. Those two additions will make the next version of Office worth purchasing.

Yes. And although I have both Mellel and Pages, I often simply gravitate back to Word. It's familiar and I know I'll be able to open my documents twenty years from now.

I am not having any luck with the ^f and replace and search suggestion. Am I missing something?
