What ?! No page #s?
I only this past week received John Calvin: A Pilgrim's Life from prepub and it has no page numbers ! I thought page numbers were being routinely inserted in new books.

I take it you mean "inline with the text" as a "checkbox" choice like in BDAG?
No..all you get is the location bar that shows what page you're on...

Did you check the visual filters button?
If indeed page numbers aren't there, I share your concern. I though that was the direction we were heading as well.

That is what I said was missing. It does show the page number in the address bar as Robert and I both noted. I simply like to know precisely where the page transition occurs so I like the inline page number.

I agree with what you are saying. Sometimes when I am doing research, I wished resources had page numbers like the Theological Journals and have wondered if in the future they could be sort of like a "visual filter" that you could turn on/off.

You are correct.
Also, one screen scroll doesn't equal one page so you have no way of gaging what page you are on even if the "page box" is telling you; you can't find the "break" to the next page.
this just doesn't make it for me...

George, I've never seen another book do this that I can remember. I'm pretty sure this is a bug of some sort. I'll submit a report first thing Monday so we can get this fixed. Thanks for letting us know.

I recall reading on one or another thread (iPhone maybe?), that the page numbers are replaced by the numeric reference they use, because of the difference in font sizes, which everybody uses.
If I use a size 16 font, the page I am on, may not be the same as a person in the same spot in the same book, using a size 9 font.
Possibly a parallel there????
