Resource dowmnload. Ipad and Android.

I see a number of threads but am confused. I have purchased a Silver package which works 100% on my PC. I need the resources to be fully copied onto my Ipad and my Galaxy note 3 (Android). The software works well on both devices but needs a connection to access the resources which is not always an option. Can this be done and how please?

You download the resources from the logos "cloud," you don't move files from your computer. Also note: not all resources are "mobile enabled" due to publisher licensing agreements.

I do not recommend downloading all of your resources on mobile unless you really don't have internet (bush in Africa).

I have just over 1000 resources on my iPad and have had no issues. I do know people who have tried to download over 5000 reassures who have had major issues. Since Silver libraries tend to be under 750 resources I think he is safe downloading all his library. Although some functionality of the mobile apps do require connection.

Should the app require a reinstall (for whatever reason) all of those resources will automatically download again and possibly render the app useless until the downloads are complete... I think this is what alabama is referring to - there are potential issues.

Let me clarify a couple of things. I was distracted earlier.

To download ALL of your resources (which I don't recommend for most users), scroll slightly upwards in the library and hit "download all." Again, I don't recommend this.
You can download a subset of resources by filtering your library and clicking "download all." You could, for example, download all resources with a mytag of "family".
You can also manage downloads via L5. This is done in the L5 library.

Why don't I recommend downloading all of your resources? For a number of reasons.

The best "fix" for some problems is a reinstallation of the app. That is no big deal when you have a few downloaded resources. It is a huge deal when you have thousands.
Doing a "download all" means babying the downloads. Do you really want to sit by your iPad for hours while it downloads everything?
If you do have to reinstall, it will automatically start to download all those books again... but you might have come to your senses realizing that its a good idea... and you are stuck.
Logos updates resources frequently. When you have books downloaded, problems can arise by not keeping up with those updates. You don't have to worry about keeping up to date with resources which you haven't downloaded.
The app is fairly limited when you don't have internet. The ONLY advantage of having all your resources downloaded when you don't have internet is that you have access to those resources. You CAN'T perform a LIBRARY search of your downloaded resources when offline. (You can search books one at a time).
Most users DO have internet multiple times throughout the day. If you need a book, download it when you have access.
