Internet needed to read books?

Actually I didn't know that. How do I go about downloading or seeing if I already have then on my iPad? Heading out to Mexico for Christmas and what to make sure I can access my books.

Ok I see that. I looks like none of the circles are filled in. I see where I have the option to download.

Not gonna have a white Christmas this year! Going to the Gulf of Mexico. Never been there, hugely looking forward to it. Just my wife and I and the kids have the house to themselves. Might not come back [H] 

If you go to your library view, you'll see an 'i' with a circle on the far right of each resource.  If it's filled in, it's downloaded.  If not filled in, it's in your library on the server.

If you click on the circle with the 'i', a popup will show a Download (or Remove).  Click on that.

Alternatively, for Christmas reading, you can go to Logos5 library, and there's a column for Mobiles ... you can choose there which resources to move to your iPad for Christmas (and later remove if you want).

BTW, in library view, the covers view is nice.  I like that where I only have a few resources downloaded.  In that view, the 'i' circle is next to the title.

Yep really early. Although we are leaving Dec. 22 through the 27. Met the travel agent yesterday, then my wife and I went out for lunch to talk about our plans and now we have the fun of; "gee which resort do we chose?" Lots of YouTube videos on destinations. 

So if I down "some" books onto my iPad, can I delete them as well? And if I delete them, that doesn't mean I've deleted them from the server does it?

Getting a REALLY early jump start? Using a different liturgical calendar? Just anxious to go? You already missed "Christmas in July."

FWIW - I do not recommend downloading your entire library. I currently have about 200, which I think is probably too much. I keep some good general study tools (i.e. single volume commentaries and study bibles, a few bible dictionaries, etc.) along with books that I am "currently" reading or subjects I am "currently" studying. I think I need to revise my definition of "currently" to reduce my footprint a bit.
