Logos 5 features coming to iOS?
I own a 27" iMac with logos 5 silver. Within 6 months I will moving and joining staff at a house of prayer where I will, for the firat time, be regularly writing sermon and teaching notes, which means after 5 years of owning logos I wI'll finally be pitting it to good use On a weekly basis.
My problem is my iMac will be at home and most of my studying will be at the house of prayer, so I either need to get an iPad and use that to access logos and write sermons or ditch my desktop for a laptop, which I don't want to do because I also use the desktop for Final Cut Pro x and logic pro x.
My question then is when will logos be updated to add the desktop class features of logos 5? If owning logos 5 and primarily using an iPad will mean that I won't have access to most features then that will defeat the purpose of Getting an iPad.
My move is 6 months out so it's more of a question of where logos iOS developement is going and if there is a plan for feature parity between iOS and desktop for those that own logos 5.

Logos rarely comment about future plans for products (Logos 5 or mobile) but I wouldn't expect to see parity between the different platforms.
More features are being made available in the mobile apps but I still believe that the mobile apps are seen as supportive as opposed to equivalent and o don't see any indication of this changing.
Are there particular features you would like to see?

A good MacBook Pro can do all of that.
The form factor for an iPad is ideal for reading/highlighting/taking brief notes. It isn't ideal for extended writing. If money is an issue, I think your BEST bet is a decent MacBook Pro, since it can do all of the above.

The mobile apps will not have feature parity with the desktop app in the next 6 months. Desktop and mobile are very different platforms, so complete feature parity isn't even a goal for us, but we do want to enable the study users are likely to do away from their keyboards. The mobile apps do have many of the features of the desktop app: notes and highlights, reading plans, Passage Guide, Exegetical Guide, Bible Word Study, Topic Guide, and search, to name the big ones. I'm interested in hearing your use case if the current features won't meet your needs.
If you're going to be doing a lot of typing, the on screen keyboard is going to slow you down. I recommend a good external keyboard.
If you need to work offline, a MacBook is IMO the best compromise between portability and functionality.
If you really want the full power of Logos in a tablet form factor, consider a Surface Pro.

The one thing that is most important to me is to have all my lexicons show up when using the exegetical guide. Four or five are not enough. Other than that, I love the app.

I guess the next pertinent question is what are the main logos 5 desktop features that ARENT a part of iOS? That may get me closer to my answer.
Replacing my my desktop with a laptop won't work until apple massively lowers the cost of a terabyte of ssd. I have 1.2 terabytes on my desktop and its more than half full And I don't want to offload it to an external.

I think Dave basically answered the question about the capabilities of the mobile app.
The mobile apps do have many of the features of the desktop app: notes and highlights, reading plans, Passage Guide, Exegetical Guide, Bible Word Study, Topic Guide, and search, to name the big ones.
I do want to clarify: the guides only work online and aren't quite as powerful or as robust as their desktop counterparts.

I would still love for someone to clarify what logos 5 features are not in logos iOS version. Saying what features are in iOS doesn't exactly give me clarity on what features are missing. I don't work for logos and therefore don't have the master list of logos 5 features memorize. I can't effectively compare the two without someone helping me out, thanks

I would love mobile tagging, and the ability to create and manipulate collections from the mobile app.

The features of both platforms are continuing to change... to be added, removed, modified. I don't think you are going to get an answer much beyond what you already have. If you have specific questions (i.e. "is <blank> feature available"), then we have something more to work on. I don't think Logos has a comparison list... at least not a public one. If they do have one appropriate for public consumption, it should be available on the website.
