Hi Martin
Welcome and congratulations on your purchase.

First check that there isn't anything in the 'Search' field in the middle top of your screen. If there is this will act as a filter and if nothing matches it nothing will appear in the list.

Hello Mike,
Thanks very much. I had a feeling that the solution was very simple. But I had not thought of that one!

Welcome! [:)] I see Mike has helped you, but for clarification:
I have recently purchased an iPad and am having difficulty with Logos 5!
"Logos 5" is a desktop application for Windows and Mac. "Logos 5" does not run on mobile devices. Logos makes a number of "mobile" apps for both iOS and Android which you can use with your Logos library.
I have downloaded a number that are in my library , but they do not appear on the iPad when I select 'Library'
As Mike helped you to discover, the search box in the library filters the library. One useful filter syntax is "local:", which will reveal all of your downloaded resources.

Thanks for the prompt about library filters. I am groping on the iPad, how can I access the 'filters'?

I think you have misunderstood. There isn't a place to "access filters."
When you are using the library, there is a search box at the top. Typing ANYTHING into that box "filters" the library. As you continue to type, more and more resources will be eliminated. Only resources which match the search parameters will be shown. Most people just perform simple searches. If a user types "James", books which have "James" in the title will remain, along with books with "James" as the author or "James" as the subject, etc.
More complex searches can also be performed, such as local: or author:smith . There isn't a list of syntax for you to use.

My friend from Alabama, I continue to learn from you! I had not thought of typing "local:" in the library search box. Thanks for sharing the wisdom.
