Ipad Problem...Resources missing (with License)
Something is strange with my ipad. I have an IPAD 2 with up to date software.
I used to be able to take it to church and during the service, follow allow with the study, keeping notes, etc. I use the NASB. Anyway, tons of resources are no longer available, including my NASB. It keeps saying that the book is missing.
I deleted the app, and reinstalled twice. Still missing.
Thoughts?

They keep saying that the book is not available. I see them in my populated list, but when I click on them, they just come up with an error saying it cannot open the book.
I only have one account.
I am online at the time.
I do get the same results at home as I do in church (we have wi-fi in the sanctuary).
While typing this, I just noticed that the little wheel is spinning and spinning and spinning. Could it still be indexing from noon today? I have 2300 resources.
Thanks for your help!

The spinning wheel is unrelated to indexing... it is related to downloading of resources, settings, note documents, syncing etc.
Of the 2300 resources, how many have you attempted to download in the past? (Logos tries to remember the device even if you delete the app. If it recognizes the device, it will try to redownload the resources you had downloaded previously.)

Of those 2300...I would say prior to this problem, about 2200 were already there previously.
So, if the spinning wheel is my downloads, settings, etc., I think what I should do now that I have reinstalled the application again is maybe plug it in, leave it over night and see if the wheel stops spinning by tomorrow. If not, then I guess call Logos?

Okay, something funky just happened! I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT!
Here's what happened. I was actually just now going to re-title a resource. I scrolled to the bottom and a button is there that says "manage mobile devices." So, I thought let me take a look. I clicked on it and it brought me to my mobile devices. It said I had FOUR Ipads. However, only one came up showing vyrso next to. Okay, so I deleted the others. (Along with my five iphone mobile devices?) I then went back to my ipad, closed the app, reopened the app, and a box came up saying I have resources to download. I said yes to download them and it looks like they are downloading them.
I did get a window that popped up saying that 17 of the resources do not have licenses? I am guessing that means that Logos didn't get the license from the publisher for mobile? That's just a guess.
Anyway, I will let you know what happens, but it looks like some resources are downloading right now.
I don't know why all that happened, maybe some funky glitch. Who knows, I just hope it fixes the issue.

Okay: It appears fixed. My NASB is working, and even my BDAG that I bought shows up and opens! WOOHOO! Not sure what that was all about, but it appears to be working!!!

Hi Cynthia
I think that you have indeed discovered part of the problem you have been having. Allowing the download to finish will have helped as well.
I guess like many of us you will have installed a new operating system recently. Now you see what happens at Faithlife HQ when you do that. They think that you have a brand new device – they don't, however, think that you have disposed of the old one.
So you build up a list of devices - and the potential for confusion.
With the number of resources you have downloaded you might consider carefully when opting to delete and reinstall the program. Replacing your library will take some time. Do you really need all those books on the device?
