Ancient Language to English Group
Many older English resources have large portions that are written in Latin or even French or German. This is true especially in quotes and footnotes. This wasn't an issue back when most people learned Latin, but now very few people know Latin, and most people who read and speak English only read and speak in English. This makes these portions, quotes, and footnotes unintelligable for the average reader.
I created a faithlife group for the purpose of creating community notes with translations of the non-English texts within these resources. This will make these portions accessable for English only readers, and possibly make good practice for those brushing up on other languages. If interested in contributing, or just reading these portions in English, feel free to join this group! See also this thread.

I monitor it - and have commented on a few translations. But have not actually been reading through something offering translations....

Hey Anthony,
As far as I know some people still contribute, although I haven't looked at the group profile in a long time. I hoped that over time there would be enough contributors that one would occasionally find a helpful translation. I think the problem is that most people who joined are English language only and looking for help with these languages, and not many who can provide translations.
