Why is that when I'm searching for a resource in my library, the exact title of a book very seldom appears first in the list.
For example. I just did a search for this title; The Social World of Ancient Israel: 1250–587, BCE and it appears third in the list of four resources.
CANAAN AND ISRAEL IN ANTIQUITY
The HEBREW PROPHETS AND THEIR SOCIAL WORLD
The SOCIOLOGY of POTTERY in ANCIENT PALESTINE
And yes I searched under the "title" search. This happens all the time. Is it a tagging issue? You would think that a search for exact titles would result in an exact hit.
mm.
The library syntax can be confusing.
In your example use title:"social world of ancient"
Note the quotation marks. If you type simply Title:Social world of ancient
Your search is going to be very different. Title:social begins the search with any resource that has social in its title then it searches titles and metadata such as the book description for the remaining words world of ancient Obviously this is going to bring some very different results.
Moreover if you accidentally place a space after title, well all bets are off.
Well that works. Strange I didn't know how to do that considering I've used Logos for a long time now. Anyway, I appreciate it.
