Three hours and eighteen minutes before massive update. Are you ready? COUNTDOWN
Three hours and eighteen minutes before massive update. Are you ready?
The suspense is palpable. I'm going into my bunker now...[8-|]
I'm almost ready....for bed that is.
Are you planning to stay up that late Lynden?

Sleepy now. If I go to bed now, bound to wake up early in the morning. Then I will start updating.

You are hardcore Lynden but the early bird catches the worm.
Three hours to go and counting.
But the worm who woke up earlier is the one getting eaten, so there might be a mixed message there...LOL

The worm was an evolutionist or so he thought as he got his feathers...
But the second mouse got the cheese

I was going to say something about the early fish getting fried; but I liked yours better. the worm is the victim in both scenarios
I guess both metaphors of Logos resources being "worm-like" or "cheesy" are not the best. [:P]
Only if he doesn't work for an employer who inflicts its employees with intelligence-insulting management fad books like "Who Moved My Cheese"
Or worse - a church that used it on the leaders...
But the second mouse got the cheese, But the Lazy cat got the mouse. 2 hours 24 min..
Logos Cat waiting for download. This is not mine, just found the picture.
Here is the countdown clock.
countdown clock
Cool, this is kinda like tracking the time zones where Harold Camping's end of the world didn't happen.
Thank you Lynden - That is very helpful.
I was trying to work out the time difference as it is just after midday on Monday here in Queensland [O][:)]
The clock reminds me too much of waiting to snipe auctions on eBay. But it's good to know when I can fire up Logos to get the update.
Okay, I don't think it's gone live yet. I just restarted Logos to check.
What's the command you enter manually to get it to check for the new update? I'd like to make sure this gets going before I head out the door.
It is now ten minutes late for the download to start is there a problem?

Update Now
Sean try update now, and make sure you have auto download updates on.
Still waiting and pressing "update now" but not yet....must be patient.[:)]
alabama24 did the update start for you?
thanks bruce, its good to see i'm not alone. And i see you are burning the midnight oil.
Yeah I have a 91 MB update pending from a few days ago and wanted to run them all at once. Isn't there a plain "Update" that would just check for a fresh one rather than initiating it right away?
And I seldom stay up late. [O]
Sean the 91mb update should be the 5.2b SR7 and not the main update.
they may be rolling it out in stages. can any one with an update report along with their location.
Yes, but I have a few books coming with it too. I don't want to reindex twice today.
On the wiki page I see "Update Now" and "Update Resources" but neither seem to do what I'm wanting--check back in to see if the update size has changed and thereby I can know the big one has rolled.
Of course, I could just wait until people start getting excited in here. [:)]
Maybe Santa will bring us the present if we go to sleep. Don't forget to leave Logos on, plus cookies and glass of milk (maybe coffee according to Dan) for Santa. Good night. [:D]
Still waiting and pressing "update now" but not yet....must be patient.
Nothing here either. My guess is there's some server lag on this or it's not out of the gate yet. Maybe both.

I'm thinking that maybe I should have just gone to bed.
We haven't published the updated resources yet.
Any estimates when it might begin?
Bruce i knew someone would ask so i did not. It is hard to wait in this world of Instant Gratification. But being patient is a gift from God.
I think it is time my light reading now, so turn to my tablet..
That's what I get for staying up late. [:$] God is trying to make me more patient.
Soon...
Last time I gave one, someone started this thread. I've learnt that lesson. [:)]
Bradley and the Logos team we Thank You all for all the hard work of this Massive Update!
I think our brothers and sisters at Bellingham are just trying to make sure that we only have to download this one time so that everything is correct. But i came to the office early because the internet speed is better. At 4meg I'm not sure how long 10gb would take to download..
When you say soon, should I be watching my watch or my calendar? [:P]
Well I'm going to be watching the inside of my eyelids. They need to be checked for holes. It's midnight and I've got to get up and run with my son at 5 AM. So. Good night all.
When you say soon, should I be watching my watch or my calendar?
It's more likely to be "later" than "soon"; possibly within an hour.
I've pulled up a new layout and started on my next message. I'll tap the update a bit more, but I'm not expecting to see a response in the next few....
Seems like the website has slowed down. I assume its not related.Either way, I'm going to get some sleep. will kick off the update first thing in the morning. Hope it goes well for you all!
The update appears to be coming through now...all 2.28 GB of it. :-)
Mine just started.
Same here. Nearly 3GB. Ouch!
3.56 GB for me, and it's still at 0% after a couple of minutes. With everyone staying up late to get this update before they go to bed, I suspect Faithlife's servers are on overload. I'm going to go to bed and hope it's finished and indexed by morning.
2.52 GB here. Going to nap for awhile now
