Very very soon.
In the mean time you may already or will soon have access to a brand new Logos 6 forum that has all of the answers and FAQs laid out.
It is a massive update of features. The list is quite impressive.
My favorite new feature enables very easy access ancient church fathers, etc. It's called the "Ancient Literature Section" and is part of the passage guide.
:-)
All details about L6 are now up. Looks pretty exciting. This is a big day for Logos. Congrats!!
It is an extensive update. See pics and videos at the end of this article:

Got a good deal on Port to Port (without changing amount of my payment plan). What I didn't ask about and should have while on the phone is the other packages. Now that web site is some of the upgrades on other packages, like Pentecostal is $15, Baptist is $56, etc. I should have updated those... Doh!
Downloads are BIG! Port to Port is downloading 3.72GB. According to Logos there is a lot of new media in the upgrades.
Where can one go to see these details? Thank you!
I see it now. I had to clear my cache and can now access the Logos site.
I'm pumped about this. Is anyone else excited? [:D]
Congrats Logos! Hope we'be best offers and excellent upgrades!
My upgrade pricing says I currently own Logos 3, and provides the upgrade price. But I own Logos 4. Would the upgrade price be any different with that bit of info?
I'm also currently a seminary student. Would that change the upgrade price?
Logos must be swamped with activity now. Every time I try to access the website right now it is timing out.
I'm pumped about this. Is anyone else excited?
I'm shaking right now.. lol
Can't wait to get them in my PCs. Sadly I still have to download the last update first.
Man, price jump from L6 Portfolio to L6 Collector is huggeee.. its 4x more for me.
The logos.com website looks like it is getting hit hard or they are still updating it. I am just getting timeouts right now, but that's where we'll find all the details.

You said "this November"; you only get partial credit. [;)]
Serious questions,
1, Is there any resources that are still pending in pre-pub that we need to cancel??
2. Is there a way to see what's NEW to me if I already bought L6 Collector? My sale rep hasn't send me the email and there's no way to see WHAT'S NEW on the website when you ALREADY have/bought the product.

Collector's Edition has a number of resources in it that are still on Pre-Pub or CP. All of that info should be available shortly.

the signs were pretty obvious, though.
I'm seeing the same thing.
Strangely, when I log out, I can access the site. However, when I try to log in the wheel just spins and spins and then timeout.
I am seeing this across devices.
Hey Gabe..
Is there a way to see what's NEW to me if I already bought L6 Collector? My sale rep hasn't sent me the email and there's no way to see WHAT'S NEW on the website when you ALREADY have/bought the product.
I'm having a hard time accessing the Logos website. I get the maintenance screen or a timed out message.

Bummer. Too many people trying to access it right now. I can't get on.
I don't think I've ever seen this much anticipation and excitement about a new Logos release. So, Everett Doonand, you played your role. Now I hope you're satisfied with yourself.
Gesh, BlackFriday sale, Christmas's sale, New Year's sale aren't even here.
I wonder what would happen? [:P]
Logos has a few new Logos 6 videos posted.

I'm having difficulty also. I notice that the Verbum site is not completely up either.
Infrastructure headaches for Logos this morning .... blah. [:(]
.... maybe more servers in addition to the UPS backup in the parking lot. [:S]
Yeah, not everything is up yet and it's hard to get in.
BUT I'm happy that this time, Crossgrade packages (3 different levels) are being released straight out the door. Will be checking back here frequently to try to figure out what's the best thing to do!
While you wait...

Those are worth seeing. We were able to preview many of them during the past few days. Well done and can definitely explain many new features relatively quickly.
While you are waiting to get onto the logos.com site you can get a step ahead watching a few of these.
Is there some kind of discount only for today? what if we are unable to get access to the website like now because of traffic.
Is there some kind of discount only for today?
No.
Hey Lee,There is not a special discount only for today.
While I am still waiting on my new features to download, what I have seen has me excited so far, especially from a layperson perspective. Hopefully, I can now get my wife to see the utility of using Logos on the desktop instead of Biblia, which she prefers. The Atlas especially would be a big win for her.
That being said, what were some of the things you would have expected in the next version of Logos that is not here today? Not to nitpick, I just like to see what everyone's wishlists are. [:)]
For me, it would be 3
1) Highlighting - I find the current highlighting to a little clunky, but I cannot figure out a better way to be honest. I would have liked a disassociation of highlighting palettes and notes. I find the thinking process before highlighting (am I using the right palette with the right setting as to which note it should be stored in) to be cumbersome.
2) Touch friendliness - This would have been good on the Windows side especially.
3) A move away from .NET - .NET is great. I work for a company which is a .NET shop; that being said, moving to something like an HTML5 engine (which might be infeasible today realistically) would allow the power of Logos to transcend the desktop and reach browsers, Chromebooks, tablets and so forth. This is not talking about online vs offline - just the presentation engine
Actually, all of the new Interactive Resources are built on html-based technology, as is the home page, the Ask the Author feature the Groups tool, and probably some other things I'm not remembering. As you state, it should make it easier to move these features to other platforms.
That is amazing - thanks for the info Andrew. The Home Page looks great in my opinion.
I think Logos is going to tick a lot of people off, by their latest marketing scheme. No matter what web link I use to get to Logos. I get the screenshot: Logos 6 is here - to order call 877-542-7664. It then stays at this screen with no link to continue.

It's not a marketing scheme. They are experiencing some problems which they are working to resolve.
It's not a marketing scheme. It's a maintenance page because the website broke down.

I've grown to like the visibility of the note attached to the highlighting - from my perspective the note would always potentially be there - it's a question of whether or not it is visible to the user. But it allow be to note my reasoning behind debatable highlights.

Hi - I just noticed that you don't seem to have had a reply to your question in all the excitement. I suggest you call and speak to a sales rep if your details are incorrect. If you're a seminary student you should also qualify for academic pricing, which you will be able to apply for online when the website quietens down again. I think it gives you a discount on base packages, and it certainly does on resources you purchase.
You may be experiencing this issue on the website (https://community.logos.com/forums/t/92854.aspx). Rest assured, your dynamic upgrade price takes into account all of your past purchases.
That is true and I had not thought of that MJ.
But if you are on a mobile device, which I am atleast for an hour every work day (public transit), and wish to highlight, it becomes a bit of a pain. Then you come back home, and you cannot find the highlight because it is in another note/visual filter
Makes sense - I rarely do more than read on a mobile device.
I am unsure of your request / complaint. Are you aware that you can control the behavior of where notes are sent? It isnt perfect, but it does work. I use the "sticky" setting and create note documents for each resource. In that way, all of my highlight/notes are kept together for each resource.
By 'sticky' setting, I am guessing you mean last-opened note file? Yes that works but at massive overhead to the user as you mentioned - I am now resigned to having the palette-specific note as my default.
I feel with highlighting, I know visually why I highlight a certain way. I do not need the contextual help of a note file. Now, if you add a text note to every highlight you make, then perhaps it is a different story.
The big reasons for making notes and highlights the same were:
I can't disagree that the UI for targeting note files is a bit cumbersome.
Small consolation: In Logos 6, we added an "Open Annotation" command to the right-click context menu which should make it much easier to find the note that backs a highlight if you run across it in the resource later.
Come on over and discuss it on the Logos 6 forum!
Thanks Eli.
That is huge actually. This will be a big help to those of us with massive palette-specific note files.
Like I indicated earlier, I (and a few users I know) religiously highlight using the tablet apps as well. Palette-specific is the best for this. I cannot wait for Biblia.com to support highlighting too.
