Indexing for Mac with Yosemite is very slow. Anyone else having this problem?
We recently found and fixed a performance bug in the indexer; the fix should be shipping soon in 5.2b SR-7.
Posting your logs might let us verify that it is the same problem.
I hope the update arrives soon, indexing has become unbearable.
Thanks

Dave,
It is downloaded and running. Let's see if this is a fix.
Nope, it did not fix the problem, indexing is at a crawl. [:(]

Ok, we need you to enable logging so that you can upload logs after the next round of indexing (which may be the Oct 26 massive update!).
On the Mac, indexing chews through RAM first. You might want to use Free Memory or a similar app. On 16GB, it's not uncommon to go right to 2GB or even less during indexing. Freeing up some RAM helps a whole lot.
The indexing is moving along at a good speed this morning. It appears the problem is fixed.
Steve, I have found that Logos 6 (I have had it a couple of weeks for review) works much better on the older Macs than Logos 5. It has been more stable for me all around. I have yet to load it on the new Mac. [:)]
