Slow Logos 6 downloading

Very excited to have Logos 6 and cannot wait to see my new resources and features of L6. Unfortunately I am having to wait much longer than expected. I am upgrading from L5.2 Platinum to L6 Baptist Platinum. I have two laptops, a HP Windows 7 which I use in the church office and a Win8 home laptop. I started the download about 15 hours ago with the Win8 first and about 7 hours ago with the Win7. Interesting that the Win7 has the new Logos 6 logo and shows I have it installed but none of the new resources have been added to my library. The Win 7 did an update adding close to 1G of info but now refuses to finish an update with a info box indicating the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 did not succeed. I have attempted at least 4 times to complete this update. If I try to by-pass the update it refuses to connect to Logos and times out. And the Logos Bible Software 5 app is still showing on the Win8.

Any suggestions?

info box indicating the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 did not succeed.

First: reboot the system to see if that fixes it, and try again.

If that fails, download the NET 4.5.2 installer direct from Microsoft and if that fails - uninstall your old NET and reinstall the new.

I am having a similar problem. When I try to install Logos 6 on my Windows 8 machine it fails when trying to install .net 4.5.2 with the error: Server Execution Failed. I was on the line with support for over an hour yesterday and we were not able to resolve the issue. I have tried installing .net 4.5.2 directly and get the same error so I guess this is an issue with .net and not Logos per se. Still very frustrating.

I just managed to solve my problem on my Windows 8 install. It seems that I did not have the .net framework 4.5.1 installed and therefore the install of 4.5.2 failed because it requires 4.5.1 . It is a shame that Microsoft's installer does not pick this up and provide an intelligent error message which would have saved me 4 or 5 hours of frustration. In any case I am glad it is resolved and will report this to the support rep I was speaking to so that he can add it to the support knowledge base at Logos since I'm sure I won't be the only one to have this issue.
