A Step Backward in Word Look Up???
Until recently (the last update) I could see the Greek/Hebrew word and lemma when I did a word look up in an English Bible with a RI feature. Then I could get to my lexicon via a Bible Word study.
Now all I get is a definition of the English word and some other unuseful stuff that I have no way to use.
This has severely reduced the value of the app for me. Please tell me the original functioning will be restored or that I will have a setting to select an original language word look up.
If I am missing something (a new feature that does what I want), please point me to it. (And, no, I do not want to run an exegetical guide on a whole verse to look up one word.)

Word Look up is now called define.
??? I don't have that option but would love to. Is it supposed to appear when I press to highlight a word?
I am running version 4.3.7

Which Bible are you using? What version of iOS? Which device? You are online, right?
I believe that "look up" has indeed been replaced with "define," but it is just a semantic change. I know that some users are having troubles with "define", but I don't remember the details about why it isnt working. I think it is a known issue for some users.

Seems to be working for me! Which bible are you looking at?
But I get the same results as you when I try your esoteric choice of bible...

HMM. Thanks for the idea, Mike. I just tried it in the ESV. It works. I also tried the NRSV and it works there, too. I'll delete the copy of the NASB95 I have in the app and re-download it to see if that fixes things.

I went through the process and the function still does not work for me in the NASB95. Could one of you check that resource on your iOS device for me?
EDIT: BTW: my missing note file indicators reappeared when I opened a 'fresh copy' of the NASB95.

I am seeing the same issue in NASB95

I can replicate this in the NASB95. Other Bibles work OK. It looks like the NASB is seeing the Greek strong's number, but not the lemma.

Strange that 'cos (strangely enough) I don't have that version downloaded. Hence when I tried it it was a freshly open internet version that I got.
Still doesn't work for me.

I am seeing the same issue in the KJV1900; ESV works as expected. It still says "Look Up" for me, not "Define." I am on 4.3.7.

Ran some quick tests:
Bibles that work (give the morph pop-up): ESV, LEB, NRSV, NKJV, NLT, [EDIT]--NIV2011
Bibles that don’t work (revert to iOS dictionary): KJV, HSCB, NET
Bibles that have a limited morph pop-up—NASB95 (only shows Strong’s).

Thank you all for your help. Hopefully Faithlife will get the NASB95 working again soon, but I can use another version in the meantime. I am glad the app DIDN'T slide backward.

Thanks. Very helpful. A list for Faithlife to look into.

.I have exactly the same issue with the NASB95, as I posted several days ago but got only one response. I really don't need a function that tells me when I look up the word 'walk' that it means to put one foot in front of the other to move forward. I do hope they get this fixed as I found it helpful when following a public scripture reading. All these issues seem to have occurred when they 'updated' all these resources. By the way, I did contact Logos about this issue - I'll let you know when I get a response.
Longtime Logos user (more than $30,000 in purchases) - now a second class user because I won't pay them more every month or year.

There are several threads about this issue in the iOS forum. Dave Dunkin (Faithlife) already responded that the issue is related to a mismatch of updates to the resource and the corresponding RI's.
This is related to some reverse interlinear resources being out of sync with the translation resources, which were recently updated. We're working on a fix.

Sounds you like are running an older beta version of the app...? Word Lookup is correct.

Yeah, that's almost a month old. Internal builds have since corrected the problem. Please try to keep the beta reports in the beta forums if possible - we hope to release a new beta sometime this week.

Word lookup has been fixed.
HSCB and NET do not have reverse interlinear data, so you will not get Hebrew or Greek data for those translations (and never have).
