What is it?

Compare modern archaeological sites with reconstructions of what they looked like in ancient times.

How does it work?

Simply move the slider back and forth across an image and view the differences between biblical and modern times.  This interactive includes two images overlaid on top of one another with a slider to “windowshade” the top image to reveal the one below. The bottom image is a modern archaeological site or ruin and the top image is an artist’s reconstruction.

With this new resources, you can explore Jericho, Masada, The Erastus inscription (Corinth), The Theater at Ephesus, The Gymnasium at Sardis, and a variety of views of Jerusalem.
