Just curious, will we eventually be able to access dates for Bible Events directly from our Bible in the right click menu and linked to the Timeline? That would be Great!
This already works unless I am mistaken.
Give me an example from the Bible.
The Timeline Events visual filter only displays markers at locations in the text that have an actual date. This is why you don't see markers in the main text of the Bible. The filter can still be enabled because there are some dates in the introductory sections that have been marked.
I don't think this feature is fully implemented yet. I could only find one bible (the NKJV) that has the option in the VF tab
Can you give me an example in the NKJV?
Andrew, do you know if it is supposed to be or will be made available in other Bible resources (i.e. ESV)
I'm not aware of any immediate plans for this, but I'm sure it's on a list to happen at some point. Ideally all of our books would have all dates marked, but I suspect the Bibles have been a bit lower priority since they aren't a particularly rich source of dates.

Thanks for the quick reply. It has been great having you so active on the forums during this release[Y]
Wow! Just discovered this. It looks like this feature is stating to be incorporated into the Bible.
The Biblical Events are tied to the Timeline! Only a few are available but continue to Keep up the Good Work. This is exactly what I wanted!

What I'm trying to figure out is how to turn it off by default, in all resources. There doesn't seem to be any sort of setting that says, "turn these visual filters on by default, and turn those off." At least I can't find it.
Russ
I haven't done that in a while Russ but If I recall don't you right click on the filter?
Aha -- there is a setting there... I never would've found that. Thanks.
In Logos 6 it's been made more obvious: that setting is on a drop-down menu (accessible from an arrow that appears to the right of the visual filter name on hover).
