Does Notes spellchecker have an option for UK English?

The screenshot below shows that I have a note set to use "English" (I have selected all text and applied this setting)

This doesn't recognise the word "characterise" - rather it wants me to use a "z"

Is there an option for UK English? If not, could we have one please?

From your time in Scotland you know full well that real English is spoken north of the border (I'm referring of course to Hadrian's Wall, rather than the Mason-Dixon line!)

As for spelling, well we all know that spelling is in the eye of the beholder: The dough-faced ploughboy coughed and hiccoughed his way across the field!

You need to practise before you can get a licence to spell!

On a connected subject, the Interactive Weights and Measures converter uses American points and gallons, not Imperial measures. There are 16 fl. Oz. In an American pint, and 20 in an Imperial UK) one. Therefore, an American gallon is 128 fl. Oz. Whereas an Imperial gallon is 160. It means for UK folks, volume measures are out by 20% if you use this tool.

Not the biggest issue around, but worth being aware of.

BTW I'm with Graham about the spellchecker.

I never forget that my very first Logos resource was described by Logos as NIV - Anglicised! I doubt if they got the irony of their nomenclature. Remember Jamestown was first established about the time the Authorised Version of 1611 was produced!

We're well aware we get short changed with American units. Even their liter is suspect but an English Australian spell checker should take care of that[:)]
