Why is it that now you can't delete past post records under our log anymore?
I am sorry. I do not understand your question.
You could at one time. Haven't tried it recently.
mm.
I think he refers to the page you get to when you click your own name.
I have delete x's, but they clearly did something major here last week. My page used to have 150-200 pages of very old posts, but no recent ones since I found the privacy setting that stopped logging them. Now there are no old posts, 5 pages of the most recent ones, and no privacy setting that I can find to stop displaying them. And more of our account settings have moved over to faithlife.com. (I would have thought they had more important things than this to do last week!)
I'm happy to see the old posts gone, but I want my privacy setting back!

Joel has been doing lots of under the hood maintenance on the forums. I can't speak for this feature (or any) in particular. But you can see the handiwork of Joel's labors during last weeks' release of L6. While the rest of the servers struggled, the forums kept up quite nicely with the influx of over 9X the regular traffic.
Anyway, I suspect this cleaning up feature was disabled as one of dozens of others to speed up the process.
I could be wrong. That happens often enough to make it stay an option. :-)

I know. He and I have a looooong conversation going on on a thread about forum e-mails.[:)] And occasionally on other threads as well.

The forums have always worked better than the website in that respect. And wasn't it the licensing that was the bottleneck last week? I doubt forum traffic passes through that particular server. (Not saying his work didn't help!)

Could be. I rather suspect it was something he didn't notice was lost, or didn't think important, or hasn't had time to reinstate.
