Log in requires a call over the Internet. Do you have a firewall or other utility that might be blocking it?0

I'm running McAfee Total Protection Beta, it has a firewall. I checked my firewall setting and now the program has allowed Logos4 permission. I tried running Logos4 without elevated priveledges and Logos4 starts up and connects without any problems.

what happens if we are a place without internet access? Will Logos still boot?
There is an option to work offline if no internet connection is detected.

mmm I had a crash at login problem as others have reported. Mine seems to have been caused by the fact htat I had not finished updating my windows. I had gone I Think to SP-2 and not yet 3. If you havent updated for a while you have to do several runs of the windows update to get it all ready. I havent yet updated internet explorer (over here in the UK I dont think that the windows update does that automatically) but have now gone to SP3 and my crash while login didnt happen any more. I think that the program should warn you. It did warn me the first time I tried to install it. But when I had done a partial windows update it didnt. Still, now I guess I wait a few hours for the downloading of resources and indexing to finish!

Logos 4 requires Service Pack 3 if running on XP; we'll see if we can make the installer detect and warn about this situation.
