New "logos" box showing up on my website

I love Reftagger. Thanks so much for this tool.

But I'm not thrilled that the newest version has a "Logos" box appearing by each Scripture reference.

When I wave my cursor over it, the popup message is -- "Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)"

Do I have the option of not having this box appear on my site?

I do not use Retagger, but something tells me it is all or none at all.

You should have this option

In the plugin settings try deselecting the bottom two boxes from the screenshot below

I've been having the same problem as Steve, but the boxes are not selected in the RefTagger settings. As far as I know we have never selected those options to have the icon show. Is there anything else I can do?

Hi Daniel,

I didn't see a resolution, so I'm replying to your request. The little box next to the scripture reference are what we're talking about. There's no option in the settings to get rid of this icon. It's unsightly and distracting for the reader. Can you place it somewhere else? Also, this plugin has not been tested with Wordpress 4.0. It seems to work fine, unless it's this version that is causing this icon to appear. Thank you.

There's no option in the settings to get rid of this icon.

If you're using the RefTagger plugin, as Graham said, going to Settings/RefTagger should give you the screen below:

Removing both checks should ensure no icons are added.

Thank you for such a quick response. you were right the first time, there's no way to get rid of the icon because that feature insert Logos links is not related to the issue under discussion. I will more than likely look for other other software that doesn't have this. i prefer the old plugin. Thank you.

It is possible that there is something wrong with the plugin. In any case, you should be able to hide them with a bit of CSS.

Can anybody be gracious to help me set up reftagger on my blog?

I installed it in english and then I noticed that it is in spanish now.

I tried to deactivated and try to installed it in spanish but it fails everytime, saying

it is in one of my folders. But it won't let me do it.

Of course i am not that good on computers.

Hi Mario,

Because you're using Wordpress 4.0 you don't need to download the plugin again. WordPress will allow you to update it from within the WordPress admin pages. Perhaps it's already been updated.

So re-activate the RefTagger plugin, and then look at your list of plugins to see if it needs updating or not.

The problem appears to be that these checkboxes in the Reftagger Settings screen are ignored until you explicitly update them. I had the same problem, that both were empty but the 'L' icons wouldn't go away. But when I checked both, clicked 'Save Changes', then unchecked them and clicked 'Save Changes' again, that did the trick! However, you may also have to clear your browser cache and refresh the page, or even wait several hours for your changes to take effect, as servers don't always immediately pick up on minor changes like these.
