Since there are only 5 dictionary "slots" available in the right-click menu, I have spent considerable time prioritizing my dictionaries in such a way that I almost always get the best, most relevant results through right-clicking. For the most part, this has worked well:
Using Matt 1 in the ESV as an example, when I right-click on Isaac, I get English results in:
- Greater Men and Women of the Bible
- Bible Characters, Volume 1
- New International Encyclopedia of Bible Characters
- ISBE
- Exhaustive Dictionary of Bible Names
I get Greek results in:
- BDAG
- Theological Dictionary of the NT
- Louw-Nida
- Exegetical Dictionary of the NT
- Lexham Analytical Lexicon
Similarly, right-clicking Babylon gives excellent English Dictionary results:
- New International Encyclopedia of Bible Words
- Dictionary of Bible Themes
- Dictionary of Biblical Imagery
- ISBE
- New Dictionary of Biblical Theology
So far so good...but here's the problem I've run into. I'd like to have the IVP Black dictionaries show up in relevant places in the right-click menu...BUT, I can't find any way to restrict them only to relevant ranges (i.e. have the Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels only show up when right-clicking a word in the Gospels. Any ideas?
I know I can accomplish this type of thing via searching (search a collection and use a milestone restriction), but I'd really like entries to be "discoverable" via right-click if at all possible. I'd also like it to be possible to have more than 5 dictionary "slots", but that's another issue.
If anyone has suggestions or ideas on how to accomplish this, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
