New Tool: Clipboard Image Viewer
After fiddling with L6 and finding that ESV study Bible maps didn't show in Biblical Places , i decided to build an app for viewing those maps until this gets fixed. So i am sharing the app with all those Window's users who would like to have it.
Features
- It will display Maps & Images in its window
- You can Zoom & Pan the image/map in the window
- You can view your map/image using the Full Screen mode
[great for using print screen for portions of a map] - It will work with any Logos version (ver 4 & higher).
- Image scaling from 0.25X to 7X

Don't let the name mislead you. It will work with image/map in the clipboard from any windows app .
p.s. You will not need to unzip the installer on this one. It loads the setup program right off the web

New Update to CIV is available (ver 1.0.1.0)
Added keyboard shortcuts to simulate mouse actions. This may be useful for those who do not use a mouse. See the release notes.
Keyboard shortcuts
Shift + UpArrow = increase Zoom
Shift + DownArrow = decrease Zoom
UpArrow = move image up by 10 pixels
DownArrow = move image down by 10 pixels
LeftArrow = move image left by 10 pixels
RightArrow = move image right by 10 pixels
Ctrl + UpArrow = move image up by 1 pixel
Ctrl + DownArrow = move image down by 1 pixel
Ctrl + LeftArrow = move image left by 1 pixel
Ctrl + RightArrow = move image right by 1 pixel
Home = move top of image to top of screen
Shift + Home = center image in center of screen
End = move bottom of image to bottom of screen
Esc = exit Full Screen mode

been playing with CIV for that last few hours w/L6 search for media. Lots of fun seeing things large enough for these old eyes.
(click the image to see what i saw full size [actually had to shrink it to fit on the screen]. This was being viewed Full Screen, and i could pan the image to see what ya'll will not see)
Edit: the image below was the actual size of the image (you will need to click on the image and let your browser show full size). Found a 3rd technique to get full size images from some resources.
Edit2: below is what L6 shows on a 17.3" laptop with L6 maximized

The webpage tells of 2 techniques to get L6 images into the clipboard.
The 3rd technique that i discovered today uses resource menu and select Print/Export in L6 and have it output to Word. Seems sometimes that L6's Print window & Copy to Clipboard does not render the largest image into the clipboard. So i found that using L6's Print window and sending it to a Word doc and then in Word i right-click on the image and copy it to the clipboard (Ctrl-C). Then i jump to CIV and use right-click menu in CIV to read the image from the clipboard that i got from Word. Seems that this doesn't always work in all resources. Logos probably has larger images for newer resources than for older ones, may also depend on what the publisher provided to Logos.

This is probably because it doesn't have a windows certificate. For me to get an official certificate to use with the installer, i would have to fork out 100's of dollars a year. Which seem unlikely since i am giving my programs away.
You probably can go into Symantec and tell it that the Setup program is safe (over-riding their over protective feature). i can assure you that there is no virus or anything harmful in the program. This is a new computer which has been used only for programming and viewing Logos. Also my website is completely secure, i use a professional hosting company and i keep the folder locked on the website.
Edit: i am running Eset Smart Security anti-virus protection on this pc. i have used Symantec in the past and found it to not be a thorough. You might want to checkout Eset the next time your anti-virus subscription runs out. My sister is an admin for a large company and she turned me on to Eset.

New Update to CIV is available (ver 1.0.1.5)
Added: allow Multiple instance of CIV to be opened; CIV History ability. See the release notes.
Multiple instances of CIV
This allows you to open as many copies of CIV as you wish.
This is useful when you want to view different maps side-by-side.
(the image below shows 3 different instances of CIV running, each with different maps in them)
CIV History feature
In the right-click menu you will notice a new entry (History)
This allows you to re-view previously viewed clipboard images.
CIV's history will keep track of the last 6 images that you have viewed.
This can be useful when viewing multiple associated maps (e.g. Paul's 1st, 2nd, & 3rd missionary trips).

btw: i just made a change to help limit the number of times CIV repositions the image to the center of the window (initially i did this when the image might have been off screen). It was really interfering with my use currently. Every time i resized the window it would center the image. Fixed it now, it only re-centers the image in the window when the image has gone off the window. i upped the version to 1.0.1.5 (did not make a new announcement since you seem to be the only one who has downloaded today). The updated version is on the website if you want to update.

Updated the CIV website tab Adding to Clipboard with info on Method 3 copying Logos images to clipboard for viewing in CIV.
Also added a chart which shows the image resolution difference when adding an image to the clipboard using the 3 different methods.

When I choose this to get version 1.0.1.5 ....
I get this screen (version 1.0.0.13)....
Is that the wrong link or am I doing wrong?

The announcement that i just made above is only to alert users that the webpage has been updated telling them about Method #3 for copying Logos to the clipboard. So ver 1.01.5 is still the current version.

The Install webpage is generated by my Microsoft Visual Basic development software. What you are seeing is not the version number, but the build number which is different. Build # 1.0.0.13 is what was used when i published CIV version 1.0.1.5. I know it is confusing but i would rather not fiddle with VB's html file to post the version number instead of the build number.
Does this make sense to you? i know that my description is technical, but i don't know how to explain it without technical terms.
EDIT: when i announce an update to programs (tools), i usually use large text with a green background. This way you can tell an update to the program is available.
EDIT2: below are images of my development s/w. This might help clear up the technical mumbo-jumbo. (you can click to enlarge the images)
