finding groups
I'd like to find a reasonably active group of people to share biblical insights. How do you find groups?

I would also like to find groups. I can't seem to locate groups that are active. Many of my local churches are in the Faithlife database but are inactive. I'm considering creating a group for lost sheep (so to speak) like ourselves.

I was just reading a blog post about groups - so far the only ones I have found were for collections. I had hoped to find some for Bible study. In August I started a reading plan to read NKJV Bible in a year. I've also been going through Logos 5 and 6 software training lessons to learn how to use the tools more effectively. I'm not sure where to search for study groups. I'll keep looking around this weekend.
It would be nice to hear from others what resources they use in their studies. I only have the Baptist Silver Base, but I have purchased a few study aids I used to own in print. I keep adding more to my wishlist as I see things I hope to own one day.
I can see where to make a group but I don't see where there is a list of groups to join. Where should I be looking?

Josh, I would love to be a part of an active Bible study group to learn and discuss insights. There is nothing more that I love to do than pray over and study God's word and to share insights with others who also love the Word of God! Finding others who enjoy and want to learn the Word and share their First Love is not easy when you are disabled and cannot get out regularly. It is even more difficult when access to online studies is limited by low income. I do not mean this in complaint, but only in the sense that I long to study with others who share the love of God! It is my prayer that I will find others with like-hearts here through the study that you have posted seeking an active group of people to share biblical insights.
One question, Josh: Would such a group be one in which participants would have to purchase materials, and, if so, what would be the cost? I would love to participate, but if significant cost is involved, I cannot do so before the end of the month when I get my check. Please let me know, as I would very much love to take part if you are able to get a group together.
Thanks so much, Josh.
Sincerely,
BrendaRM

Hey everyone,
Please see my reply at https://community.logos.com/forums/p/91395/658797.aspx#658797
If this is something you all are interested in, I am more than happy to facilitate.

Since Faithlife Groups were designed as a tool for churches, ministries, small groups, etc., and privacy was a focal point, it's harder to find an active group than it is to make one of your own.
However, we do have a few active groups we've recently highlighted on the Faithlife blog, including a group that prays for each other, and a group that was designed to capitalize on the potential of Community Notes. Both of which were created by a user (Nathan Parker), for users (so they're open to anyone).

I have also started a "Faithlife Starters" group to help people learn how to use the site and get the most out of it.
