I've just purchased NIV 2011 anglicised version. I haven't been able to get it to download. I have Logos 5, I've followed the steps on the support page, still no download. Can anyone advise what I can do now? Thanks, Des
Have you typed "update resources" into the command bar?
Yes, and I see to proper response but the message is everything is up to date but I don't have the NIV bible
Have you tried restarting your computer? What version of L5? Mac or PC? Is the resource available to you on biblia.com? Mobile app?
I have downloaded NIV2011 to my iphone, I don't use biblia.com but I will will try it, haven't restarted my computer but I'll try that. Thanks
haven't restarted my computer but I'll try that.
Let us know. If that doesn't work, provide more details and perhaps logs. If on Mac, see the link in my signature line.
Restart didn't change the situation. 'no updates were found'. I have a Toshiba ultra Win 7.
What version of Logos 5? (I believe the most current version is 5.2b SR-7).
Here is a link to the wiki about logging. Follow the instructions. In your case, you will want to make sure to use the update resources command and let it run while logging is enabled.
https://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
I have Logos Bible Software 5.2b SR-8 (5.2.2.1595)
I have enabled log files, command 'update resources', but no log file was created. I have earlier log files so I know that works.
I will let a PC user walk you through logging. It might be helpful for you to outline the steps you took.
I followed the guide for diagnostic logging
To turn on logging for one session, hold down the CTRL key as you start Logos and then sign in The log files are written to Documents\Logos Log Files
Documents\Logos Log Files
Then I put 'update resources' into the command field of Logos 5
The response was 'no updates were found'
I used file manger to Documents/ Logos log files
There were other log files there but none with today's date
It looks as though there may be an issue with this resource at the moment as per https://community.logos.com/forums/p/94980/659910.aspx#659910
Hopefully someone from Faithlife will be able to comment
Thanks Graham,
do I need to contact anyone or just wait?
Des
I would wait for now....and hopefully someone from Faithlife will comment on one of these threads.
That thread is someone having a problem trying to buy the resource.
That's not the problem here; the resource has been bought but isn't downloading.
I can't see any problems on our servers that would prevent it downloading. Can you double-check that it's not already in your library? Paste the word "ANGLNIV2011" (without quotes) into the command box at the top of the program; does that offer to open the Anglicised NIV?
Apologies - I thought they could have been related
Hi Bradley, yes it does appear when I paste that name. As I looked further into it the resource is called 'The Holy Bible ...' and so it doesn't appear in the alphabetic resource list under New or NIV so I was never able to select it from the list. Am I able to get a refund for this second purchase? Thanks, Des
Bradley, I just had a look at the resources I've purchased from Logos.com and I can't see a prior purchase for NIV2011. What confused me yesterday was that there was no downloading or updating of the resource within Logos as there is usually a delay while that takes place. So I can't explain how the NIV 2011 go to be a part of my resources.

Maybe it happened at the same time you installed a program update (I think we shipped a service release yesterday) so you didn't notice it being installed?
Anyway, glad to hear you've found it and it's working.
Thanks for your help
