My notes file identifies mis-spelled words but the clipping tool does not. Is this supposed to be working or a future enhancement?
I assume you mean for the notes entries in the clipping tool?
If so I don't recall seeing any discussion of this before and don't believe it has been implemented.
Spellcheck is enabled for the clipping section itself, but not for the notes entries. I think this is a bug.
I've created a case internally to look into implementing this. I'm hopeful it will be relatively simple. Thank you!

Is it bad I didn't even realize clippings had spell check at all now?
Probably not ... at least, I hope most of the books you are clipping from know how to spell correctly
