How would one search for a listing of all OT kings and prophets?
Are you wanting ALL kings, such as the king of Sodom, king of Ellasar, etc. or just the kings of Judah/Israel?
same goes for prophets. Please re-articulate exactly what you are looking for
Sorry, yes the kings of Judah/Israel and major/minor prophets.
There's a timeline called Israel's Kings that would be helpful to you. You can find it in your library, if you have it (I'm not sure which base packages it came with) by filtering for type:timeline kings.
Similarly, there's one for OT prophets, which you can find via type:timeline prophets.
As for doing a search within all your resources for a chart or table listing all the kings or prophets, if you have L6 you can use the new Media Search feature to search for charts mentioning the words kings or prophets. Here's how to set up the search:
And the results (in my Library):
Among those results hopefully you'll find something useful in your Library. This was a particularly good one I found in mine, from the New Interpreter's Bible:
Instead of searching, you might start with identifying a resource that will give you what you want. For example, Wilmington's Book of Bible Lists will give you both. Perhaps you have that one. If you can't quickly think of one you might try, Rosie's suggested search will turn up what you do have.
The Greater Men and Women of the Bible, by Hastings might be of interest to you. It has helped me. [:)]
However, if one did want to find ALL kings, is there something like <Person ???=king> search possible?
I ordered Wilmington's Book of Bible Lists. Very helpful. Thanks Mark and everyone who contributed.
Try using "Sense" searches
Thanks!

I know I'm late to this conversation, but I wanted to add that awhile back I discovered the list of the kings of Judah/Israel in the ESV Study Bible, and in this particular chart, they were labeled as good or bad! I thought it was neat enough to bookmark it as a favorite:(logosres:esvsb;ref=BibleESV.1Ki14.29;off=75). So with that said I second Mark and Rosie's advice about identifying resources in your library that has already done the work.
David's link didn't come through as a complete link so I thought I'd just post it here in case anyone was trying to find the chart he mentioned: logosres:esvsb;ref=BibleESV.1Ki14.29
And just in case anyone was interested here is the link for Willmington's Book of Bible Lists and for Israel's Kings Timeline.
