"Could not copy files to sd card" error
This evening (nov 26) I updated my android logos app and the faithlife app to the new version from google play. Now neither of them will start as I get the message that they "could not copy files to sd card". The device does not have an external sd card.
At the very least is the there a place to get the old version of the apps so that they will work again for now?
Edit: just saw on the google play store reviews that I am not the only person with this issue.
Thanks
Alan

I just remembered today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. We're not going to get a fix anytime soon.
That's why we avoid delivering any updates to our customers on Fridays and the day before public holidays as much as possible... Or make sure there are support volunteers who are willing to work through weekend/vacation if the team really wants to release (whereas raising the volunteer question usually settles the demand for a quick release ;-)

I don't know how much control the Faithlife team have over when new releases become available in the Play Store after they have submitted them - and whether that's relevant here.
Same problem with Android 4.2. I don't have a lot of resources downloaded on my device, so I uninstalled and then reinstalled. The app basically works - more or less. However, when I select resources from my desktop app to be downloaded on my device, nothing happens. I can download resources from the device individually, though.
Me too.
Android 4.4.2 on Samsung Galaxy Note 3, with 32GB flash card inserted.
App manager for Bible version 4.4.5 shows 218MB total storage, made up of: 36.7MB application, 0MB SD card app, 50.86MB data, 131MB SD card data.
Uninstalling Vyrso and reinstalling worked, but I don't want to do that for the Bible app as I would have gigabytes to download (1000+ resources were downloaded locally).
I'd the same error message.
A simple restart of the device might be enough.

Unfortunately reboot will not clear the problem on a 4.4.2 Moto X.

There is a bug with upgrading to a new shared account system in 4.4. The workaround is to:
We will get a proper fix out ASAP after we find the root cause. I'm sorry for the trouble this has caused you.

To Alan: I have a Google Nexus 7 2013 and I am having the same issue with Logos Bible and Faithlife apps. Uninstalling them and reinstalling from Google Play has not worked, neither has a factory reset. I have contacted Nexus as well as Logos and have yet to get a solution. Is there an internal problem?

What version of Android are you running? The apps require Android 4.1.x or above.
No joy. Tried all the above work arounds. All faithlife apps go immediately to error screen "cannot copy data to sd card" galaxy s3 android 4.4.2. Freedom pop/ sprint. Logos tech help email said "make data go to phone" but I cannot even open the app to change settings.
Hi Steven,
Copying Logos data to the SD card is unsupported. It *may* work for some newer devices on some newer versions of Android, but for the vast majority of devices it will not.
I am having the same issue. My Faith life won't load and I have a SD card with available memory
Noticed this tonight on my two Android tablets with v5 lollipop. I uninstalled then downloaded from Google Play. Launched and signed in just fine. Definitely a problem, but there is a workaround.
I have the very same issue. Can you tell me what the workaround is?
That is to remove and reinstall the app from the Play Store, it has worked for me as well
