Help with Labels attributes

So, I see that when creating a label, I have the option of attaching an attribute and be asked to input values. I want to label double-entendres, so I create a label. Under attributes, I put as attribute name "Referents". If I leave it like that, I am not asked to input text when I apply the label. So, I check the box "Prompt to enter attributes". When I apply the label, I am asked indeed to enter a value. So in Jn 3:14 for "lifted up" I put three values: crucifixion, ascension, glorification. I tried to put them all in the one field separated by semi-colons, then I tried commas, then I tried to have more than one "Referents" field so that I would input the three "values" in three separate fields: in all cases, I don't get what I want, which is to display the values properly when I hover over the label in the Bible text. I only get "Referents?" or my first value (not all three).

What am I doing incorrectly? Do I misunderstand how to use attributes and values?

This is the way to do it. It works for me; can you post more detailed instructions or screenshots of what you're doing? (Note that the style should have one attribute; when you add the label, add as many additional "Referents" fields as you need by adding new rows and entering "Referents" as the attribute name.)

Thanks Bradley, for your reply. I found the problem: it is necessary to click on the little arrow in the value field after writing into it. If not, as I just confirmed, either nothing will be saved (even if one presses on "Done") or only a partial list may result (often only the first term if there are more than one).

It seems that when one goes to the next attribute, the first is auto-saved, but the last one won't appear unless the arrow is pressed on.

I guess it was not evident to me what the arrow was for. It looked like it was part of choosing from the drop-down list when one's value can be found there and so, when one does not want to do that, it seemed unnecessary to do so and "Done" seemed to validate. But apparently not, the little arrow saves.

Problem solved for me.
