OK.
Usual question ... are there some actual deals prepared or is this just a cynical way of excluding overseas customers and enabling 'private deals' ?
Anybody been able to ring? Is there something out there?

I email a sales person for these kind of deals and he/she emails me the list with prices (my go to is Todd.Cullop@faithlife.com). Because, yes, I am not making an international call for something I may not want.
Thanks Stephen. I fired off an email some hours ago.. I am now waiting for a reply.
if anybody has found the answer To 'What are these mystery resources'? ... I am sure they could be posted here ... Has anybody phoned?
The whole point of twitter deals or call in deals are not suppose to be shared here. Occasionally deals that Logos and other companies get are allowed to be offered only if not advertised.

Sales gimmicks suck!

I actually contacted Todd by email and did get offered a number of heavily-discounted specials. With some of them I already owned part of the set so I suspect they are generally-available deals with an element of personalisation (they were all the sort of things I would buy). I also managed to get through on a Web Chat from the Black Friday page (green "chat with a salesperson" box on the right-hand side). I won't post details here as we are probably not supposed to, but it's certainly worth going for the web chat to see what you get offered. After the L6 upgrade I'm keeping my wallet shut this time around!
International customers should try the chat feature. I just did this and the list of mystery deals was sent to me via email. And no, I won't be posting it.
how do you chat?

that is not as I understand it, and not as I have seen it expressed in these forums ... IF they are genuine offers avaialble to all. The sale page clearly suggests that there are several such mysteries that are available to all ... My question is what are those bundles ... It seems as though it is a marketing fabrication ... That there are no specific bundles ... Just whatever is to hand ... according to who rings up ... And seems to be the completion of various sets etc.
i use the word fabrication ... I am sure there are shorter words ... And given the appalling reputation of the logos marketing department, my question stands ... Does anybody know of the existence of any such bundles ... Or do all phone calls relate to a sales person making individual offers To complete sets etc. do any two people have the same experience With the sale department?
The Black Friday page, www.logos.com/black-friday should display a green box anchored to the left side of our browser with an invitation to chat. This same green box shows up on product pages as well.
If you can't find it, this URL "may" work: https://www.livehelpnow.net/lhn/lcv.aspx?d=8512&ms=&zzwindow=16219&lhnid=8489

Yes, the mystery deals exist and are available to anyone willing to talk with a salesperson. I used the chat feature to ask about them. I don't believe they are "individualized."
Thank you.
The link seemed to work ... but the chat was closed.
I left a message, and I will see what happens.
BTW. The webpage that deals with message confirmation is giving a badly formatted message:
Your message has been successfully sent.
We will reply to you as soon as possible.
Thank you!
I think the
tags need revisiting.
And no, I won't be posting it.
A genuine question Yasmin - Why not?
Doesn't sound very helpful. Have you been expicitly told not to / threatened if you do? If so, I wonder why - sounds very suspect to me!

Why? Where did you get that information from?
Thanks.
left message at 6 am EST yesterday no call back, no response to email, chat non resposive- guess I get to keep my moola!
And no, I won't be posting it. A genuine question Yasmin - Why not?
A genuine answer, James: Because I don't want to.
And no, I won't be posting it. Doesn't sound very helpful.

Sorry about that, but I wasn't trying to be helpful that way. My post was an attempt to address the OP's grief that overseas customers were somehow being left out. As in I'm an international customer who found a way to obtain the information without calling.

No, none of these things happened. Other than the greeting, the list, and the rep's contact info, this is the only other thing in the email: "Here are our mystery specials. Let me know if you have additional questions." There was no threatening or explicit requests to not tell anyone; nothing 'suspect' enough for conspiracy fodder [;)] This thread already has enough yucky insinuations without the need to add more.
OK thanks for your quick response.
I'm glad you weren't forbidden to post them here and it was you own personal choice not to share.
[I just still don't understand why someone wouldn't want to share good news with others, but that's just me!]
I'll try to email Logos myself and ask them for mystery specials (if there is anyone there now) and explicitly ask if there is any reason why I shouldn't post here.
If not, when / if I get a reply, I'll post the so-called mystery deals here, so that everyone can benefit.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. It is appreciated.
James
The responses (see Yasmin) I have seen here are the very reason this type approach to sales should not be used. It breeds suspicion, and snide sounding remarks (though not initial I'm sure) which is never to be the way we deal with one another.
A better approach would have been to offer a link, with the instructions "you will receive an email shortly revealing the pricing on our mystery deals. Thank you for your interest"
I did eventually get an email from Todd (Thanks Todd) about the 'secret deals' ... turns out there are six ... five I have and the other is in the thousands of dollars range.
Once again Logos marketing leaves a sour taste ... secrecy ... divisiveness ... making all this effort ... for effectively no return. I have never seen any other company make the customers virtually beg for a quote!!!
Other forum veterans know what the deals are and chose to not post them, why should I, the crass newbie, do so? This is my first experience of a Logos Black Friday sale and I waited for someone to post the deals and nobody did, which led me to believe that it was somehow forbidden. I applaud your willingness, though, to be the more generous person and share the good news [:)] [Y]
It wasn't my intention to be snide. I simply didn't want anyone to ask me to post what the deals were if I wasn't supposed to.
Actually, an individualized list would possibly be a very good thing. I'm not sure how it would be determined if it were individualized—possibly bases on the caller's wish list. Can you imagine calling up and then finding that something on your wishlist is deeply discounted? Sounds good to me.

Thanks Yasmin! Your intention was totally honourable and understandable. I've emailed Logos to ask them whether I can post the deals here.
Yours in Him,
i don't know why they could or could not post them. it mystifies me. I called. I either had them or could not afford them, but were decent deals. I don't remember what they were, lol. a lot of help that is!
As I am a man of my word, I am posting the deals I was emailed yesterday (a week after I had emailed them!!!)
I know Black Friday was ages ago, but that is exactly my point. Is it any wonder I perfer online with its instant access.
My sales rep did apologise for the delay: "Sorry I am so late, it has been a nightmare around here".
I just don't understand when the tiny sales force are under so much pressure, and there are customers willing to part with their money, that Logos forces us to contact them for so-called 'mystery deals'. What I was emailed was an image - could that not easily be put on the website?
The only thing I see that Logos 'gets out of this' is poor 'good will'.
Pleasre reconsider this strange marketing policy!
Oops - trying again as the image didn't seem to post. I've reduced image to 117k png format.

Thanks James glad I didn't bother my overworked salesperson to get this list. All but one deal less than 30% discount so nothing spectacular if you didn't have a need for one of these sets. Looks like Logos marketing once again overstating reality. And the mixed response rate on email and chat - up to a week after the sale has finished shows they are pushing their sales staff to work way beyond what they can cope with in a normal working day.
James, you said you would ask the highlighted question; are you able to share the response?
The email I got back only contained the apology and the image of the deals and no response to the question.
I figured if they felt it definitely shouldn't be posted they would have made a specific reply to my question. As no such undertaking was received, and as the deals are now over, and no Logos employee has replied to this thread, I felt I could post in good conscience.
Not much help, I know. But the next time it happens, I'll ask again and post in an equivalent thread.
James, you said you would ask the highlighted question; are you able to share the response? Yes, I did ask the highlighted question in my email.
Thanks for trying! [:)]
