One Year Bible Reading Plan (Sorta)
![Chris Franz](https://us.v-cdn.net/6038263/uploads/avatar/n3435047.jpg)
I'm somewhat new to Logos 5 and have been trying to find a way to add the "One Year Bible" to my reading plan. After experimenting, I came up with something sorta like it and just wanted to share with anyone that might be interested:
Paste the following into (Documents - Reading Plan - All Passages - New Reference Range)
Ge - Job, Ec - Mal | Mt - Re | Ps | Pr
The above will create a daily plan, for a year, with the four familiar sections found in the "One Year Bible": (Old Testament, New Testament, Psalm, and Proverbs)
Hope it helps someone.

Thank you Chris. This is helpful. I like perfection, but it's close enough to allow me to be in sync with those using the real plan.
I wonder if we can make the plan repeat Proverbs 2x like OYB?

Custom Daily Reading Plan
I needed to create a LOGOS version of a well-known daily reading plan, matching each day’s reading assignment (ie NOT calculated by LOGOS). Below I demonstrate how to create four passage lists: for 1) OT, 2)NT, 3)Psalms and 4) Proverbs. Then I combine all lists in a single daily reading plan. Note: This WILL load onto your iOS device!!
- Create list of Daily Reading
a. I started with a list of passages in Excel, one row per day for 365 days.
b. Added a comma to the end of each passage using the concatenate function in Excel
c. Copy the column (do not select the header in row 12. Create Logos “Passage List” from Excel file
a. Select “Documents” then New Passage List from LOGOS Menu option
b. Next, PASTE the passages into the Box that says References. (Use the right arrow key to go to the end of that list after you paste, and delete the comma at the end of your list). Hit ENTER. Rename the list by clicking the pencil next to Untitled Passage List.
3. Create a new reading plan by going to LOGOS, Documents, New Reading Plan. Change “Add a reading session” to the Jan 1 (or whatever date you want the new series to start). Then “Add ….a Passage List”, and select the list you just created. You can now rename your Reading list. If that’s all you need, you can stop here. You may want to adjust the date to Jan 1.
4. If you want to add other readings, Repeat Steps 2 and 3 by adding other Passage lists to this reading list. Thats how I added NT, Psalms and Proverbs!!
[NOTE, the OYB repeats Psalms twice. Since 1) Passage lists do not allow duplicates, and 2) the OYB schedule differs slightly in the second half of the year, you need to create two passage lists for Psalms. The first runs from Jan1 to Jul2, the second from Jul3 to Dec31]
Here is the spreadsheet....

Brad, Thanks for sharing how you created this custom daily reading plan. I've been using a reading plan like this from one of our old hymnals for several years and have been wondering if there were a way to get it to work in a Logos reading plan.[Y]
