They really, really NEED A NEW TO YOU FUNCTION HERE! [:D]
They really, really NEED A NEW TO YOU FUNCTION HERE!

I spent about thirty minutes trying to suss out what is new to me, and then gave up. I agree that this is really, really needed as standard.

The Hebrews collection gives me 9 volumes for $57- that's about 96% off what the versions are at regular Logos price. [8-|]
Feel a good vibe here- gonna spend some time looking at the other collections.
Looked at the Ephesians Collection- 12 books at $70- checked the math- its 95% off their regular price in Logos.
Seems these would be a good buy- wonder if I can get a bulk purchase if I buy all the collections [A]
My price was roughly $130 ea. Or about $1500-1600 if i recall for all of them. But without knowing what i'm getting hard to justify anything..

Call Dave Kaplan (sale rep at Logos) see if he can run a report to see what you would actually get in each package- may take a couple days but may help you decide which collection you actually want to purchase.
I sent an email to Bob a few days ago with this exact issue. Dynamic pricing is needed - it answers "How much?" question. But New2Me is equally imperative, since it is answers "What am I getting?" question.
EDIT:
He replied and said that he is meeting with his head of marketing to address the issue of "forgotten" Dinamic pricing and new to me functionality. I believe that any new bundle roll-outs will include both of these. It may take them some time to implement it, but I believe that they are happy to do it.
I would also probably buy something if the "New to Me" function was working.
This is exactly what I wrote to Bob. With decent libraries, it is getting increasingly harder to determine what is new, so I have walked away from a sale many times, because it was too confusing and time consuming to determine whether it was worth to me to buy. Logos lost sales!
I probably won't buy anything, but only because I am at my budget for Logos items for the next 6 months or so.
Unfortunately at this point this function is not available. In the mean time the best option is to call our sales team and they have the tools to let you know what is new to you!
this is good in theory. I emailed my rep on Monday about Cyber Monday deal. Received an "out of the office" reply stating that he will get back with me on Tuesday. Haven't heard back as of 4:52 PM CST.
I believe creating an infrastructure necessary for ALL bundles to display both DP and N2M the moment they are launched will go a long way to create a more pleasant and profitable experience
Cyber Monday deal.
True.
I certainly don't mind calling my rep, but the better one can judge packages and bundles without having to call and have the rep do heavy lifting for what can be readily automated so much the better. I'd rather have the rep spending time writing up orders to feed his family. I think Bob would too.

Dynamic pricing is a must to be able to make a decision to purchase a package. It is just too much work to do manually. Great to hear that this is the direction of future packages.
Dynamic pricing for these are good for me- but that is only half the decision process- I need to see the titles- I want to know what I am trying to make a decision about.
Ignorance is not bliss- especially where MY money is involved. [:D]

Same here - no decisions unless I can see exactly what I'm getting.
I really wish I had time to pursue these sales. They look so interesting. But the task of working through them and figuring out the contents and if I am getting a deal or not is just too daunting for now. The idea of phone calls and emails---nah.
I really look forward to a standardized method of shopping for packages of all sorts, with dynamic pricing, resource categories, and a way to filter what I have and do not have. Bob's email gives me a lot of hope.
I, for one, am appreciating the abundance of patristic and Catholic commentaries in these collections, but I'd like to see a Verbum edition of this sale (perhaps it would have to be more than book-by-book) in order to avoid purchasing a very large number of resources I won't use.

I don't even try.
In addition, on these collections, why don't they include dynamic links to the products? I am looking at one collection with a commentary on Galatians, but there is no indication of author! Just a simple hyperlink for each item would eliminate the confusion.... (or include the authors...)

I should note that I am talking here not about the individual Christmas sale packages, but the package upgrades--such as Reformed Diamond, Reformed Portfolio, Baptist Diamond, etc. The individual Christmas collections contain the links I need for these other (large!) packages--have no idea why Logos doesn't do the same thing for these big upgrade packages.
Has anyone had a reply from sales saying what books would be new to them for the Christmas collections? I've had two automated acknowledgements over last couple of days but no answer so far.

I haven't heard back yet. And now the page has been updated to explicitly direct folks to contact sales (see below). This would be SO MUCH easier if it were automated on the web...
I had a reply about 48 hours after sending my request to mark.wheeler@verbum.com. He apologised for the delay, saying he had been out of the office.
