It seems that every time I print a handout, the right side of the print gets cut off. I tried the letter, A4, etc options but that didn't work. I have an HP deskjet. Any ideas??

I haven't worked with these for weeks, because they are so frustrating to set up and get to look like what you want. But I ran through the paces today.
I have the same thing printing from an HP PSC 1350 All-In-One printer. The far right (bottom margin) is cut off, when printing a bi-fold ("Booklet") style handout, this is part of the text, making the document unreadable; when printing in standard format the bottom is cut off, removing the date/organization info and the Logos logo. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust the print margins in L4, nor does it seem to 'know' what the minimum printing area is via the Windows printing protocols.
Additionally the quality of the text on info graphics is completely unacceptable. It looks like it was printed with a dot matrix printer with a used ribbon. I'm looking at one I just printed on Eph 6:17. The graphic for the "Armor of God: Sword" is pretty bad with both the bi-fold and standard orientation output formats. The text on the full "Armor of God" doesn't look quite as bad because it's so much smaller, until you look closely. Then you notice that it's almost impossible to read without a bit of imagination.
I reported this before but heard nothing back. So I'm attaching a "BUG" tag here to see if we get some response.
EDIT: I should note that an HP ink-jet printer typically requires a 0.6" bottom margin. Handouts seem to print with a 0.25" margin all around.

I've been using the handouts for a bible study and printing has been a problem. Since I am using a Photo printer I just print 'boarderless' on plain paper and it has eliminated most of the edge problems. I no longer cut off the edge but the file is shifted on the paper so be careful while copying for classes.
The biggest problem I have with handouts is not being able to print to a pdf and then using it on our website as a downloadable handout. In booklet form this fits in books after folding and is convenient for studies.

You know that there is free software that will allow you to print as a PDF rather than as a printed page - PDF simply becomes another "printer" I use deskPDF - not a particular recommendation as I didn't do much homework, but it has worked fine.

I'm now using CutePdf Writer and it works great. Thanks for the suggestion it works great. Now to get the Handout system itself to work better.

Both of these issues (margins and fuzzy printout) have been reported.

My friends, I am using an HP scanner/printer and it has been cutting off the right hand margin while attempting to print a booklet style handout as well. To bypass this problem, I changed the paper size. When you click print, by going into preferences for your printer, you may change paper size to 8.5x11.5 instead of 8.5x11. The result in my case has been completely successful. No content of my page has been cropped off after printing. Hope this helps!
Thanks Ryan your solution worked for me. I have a Kodak ESP 5250 all in one printer and was at my wits end with this issue.

I just tried to print w/o boarders & it worked but I can’t get the 2nd page to print. It says “please remove the printout of the first side from the tray and place it in the input bin & click OK to continue printing” but it still won’t print page 2
I just recently purchased Logos 4, and was VERY excited about this feature...until I tried to use it. I own a HP 2800 Business Inkjet printer with a duplexer so it will print both sides without having to handle the paper.
It seems that the programmers for the handout function felt the need to totally circumvent the Windows operating system print function and write their own.
It really doesn't appear to work for me and I am very disappointed. Like the others in this thread, the edge of the paper is cut off, plus, it forces me to manually duplex.

The handout feature has been much maligned about these parts. It is difficult to work with and even then you aren't guaranteed to get a good result. The good news is that Logos has announced that they are going to completely rebuild this feature because of limitations inherent to the way they chose to build it the first time around. The bad news is that I have no idea about a timetable for this rebuild. However, I am confident it will be a significant improvement over what exists right now.

Of course Mike, print problems are small potatoes in comparison. I'll pray for you and your community today in light of this tragedy.
I have also found that using CutePDF (printing to a PDF file) has solved this problem. Actually, this is pretty great, as I can share the PDF with anyone, and they can print it for me or themselves at their convenience. It does mean I have to rely on Adobe Acrobat Reader, but they seem to know what they're doing with PDFs. Also of note, when using Google Docs, when I "print" a document, it produces a PDF and prints from their. This was Google's solution to print drivers issues. I would highly recommend it for any other users experiencing troubles with printing and sharing handouts.
That's great news Kevin. I'm wondering if they've considered also adding the option to create templates for Pages or Word for Mac? Most Mac's came with iWork and I'd imagine a large number of us have kept fairly current with the new releases. Logos could save a lot of time by letting those programs do what they do best. I'd love to see links to ProPresenter in this area as well as Keynote and PowerPoint.
Just think of all that could be done! ;o) (Sure, I know I can do a lot of this manually already but it's a cumbersome and, at best, erratic work flow.)
