Plea for Prayer Lists
I know it's coming early next year on Logos 4. But I just wanted to reemphasize how useful it would be to have a good prayer list module available off-line for the iphone/ipod. I've looked through the app store and have found nothing as good (anybody have any advice?) as the module in Logos 3. That's the one reason I still need to fire up Logos 3 every day.
Yes, we know, Paul didn't need software to pray effectively. But it has been a blessing and a help to me. Thanks, Logos team. Looking forward to the new version.

Until you get it in the Logos app, I can recommend a good one called PrayerPartner. I beta tested it and then bought it when it came out to support it. Comes from Laridian.

Thanks, Kevin. I tried it. It's really pretty good, and I'm sure it will do until we get the synched Logos version. Bob's post was encouraging.

Bob, I know I can be a pain, but please consider allowing us to add a thumbnail picture of the person to the request, i find it easier praying when I have a face to look at than just a list.
I know I may be peculiar, but if you dont ask, you dont get...

My prayer journal is something like this chart. I like to pray for a variety of groups each day, and not just all members of my men’s group on Monday. I pray for my family every day, but pray longer for them on a separate day of the week.
I have not found an Iphone prayer program that will allow me to organize like this. Laridian’s is the closest, but there are too many clicks to get to the requests. Wish they had had put the Contact on the top instead of the Title. That would have solved the problem.
Maybe Logos will have this ability. I hope. I hope.

While not necessary, this is a very "cool" but also helpful suggestion. I would love this!
A good way to organize prayer requests would be by topic or by person. The person header would have a name and a picture and then allow multiple requests under that name along with answers. That way each individual request doesn't necessarily have to be its own entryBut Logos is pretty good at designing interfaces, so I trust you guys :-)

I just downloaded Prayer Partner app from Laradian on iPhone. Like it so far.

Any news as to when this is going to happen? This would make my Logos experience complete!
I love my devotion time out on a walk with the iPad/Logos. Being able to have my prayerlists with me while out on this special time would be a dream come true!

Pending Logos' implementation of this, I've decided to use my own HandBase dB as a prayer list and journal. Not perfect but I already had HandBase on my iPhone and was reluctant to spend money on something "temporary".
The advantage of doing it this way is that I can change the "views" as required.0 -
Please consider providing sync of the prayer list to Android phone users too. Not everyone has an iPhone.

I'd be SOOOOO glad to have prayer lists on iPad. I got Laridian Prayer Partner, and use it, but it doesn't meet my need - maybe because I need to get a keyboard for the iPad...

Just a reminder for all us mobile folks, that we're coming up on the FIFTH ANNIVERSARY. I'm not sure what everyone is planning for the big celebration?
That would be December 15, 2009. The feature for iPhone prayer lists is underway in development! (I'm using greek syntax where present is past, and maybe long forgotten. )
So! Time to party!!

Wow, that is a long time.

I didn't own a single iOS device back then, so I didn't pay much attention to this forum.
I'm thinking this feature must be mysteriously tied to one of my CP purchases that has been hanging in limbo since just about the same time.

So I guess enabling us to pray isn't a high priority :P

Faithlife Mobile - a different app - does support prayer lists and is currently in beta on Android - https://community.logos.com/forums/t/86082.aspx

Ok, Graham. You let a crumb slide off the table and fall among the puppies (me!).
Are you saying Android has prayer lists? Or the Faithlife app? Coordinates with Proclaim?
That thread seems maybe 5 months old?

HI Denise
Are you saying Android has prayer lists? Or the Faithlife app? Coordinates with Proclaim?
Sorry I don't know any more.
I'm not involved in the beta test and so don't know its status but I thought it worth flagging.
My understanding is that this is currently a separate app and I don't know what plans, if any, there are to incorporate this functionality into any of the existing apps.

I just installed the "Faithlife Groups" app from the Google Play store and it does feature my standard Prayer List.

The "Faithlife Groups" app (available as a stable release on both iTunes and Google Play, not beta) includes basic web-only prayer list support. It's certainly not an ideal or finished solution, but that's all that's available right now (aside from viewing your prayer lists at documents.logos.com)

Thanks, Drew (and Graham). It's amazing what tidbits fall off the Logos table.
I'd have to assume, after 5 years and now a scratchy record app, that prayer lists are not a heavily used feature on Logos4/5/6. Though admittedly having your portable on the floor in front of your knees doesn't work well.

yeah, it seems like you can view your prayer lists on the Faithlife mobile app, but you can add new lists or requests or edit or delete (that I could see any way).
It seems to be close! Hopefully this means they will have the full feature up and running soon!
