On which of the iPad apps are you seeing this and which version? (I can't reproduce in the current Verbum version)
The development team will probably need some Support Info which you can send by going to "Help -> Send Support Info"

Since my Logos 4.4 iOS apps are hobbled, I decided to try to reproduce this. I wasn't able to crash the app (e.g. the picker worked ok). However, I noticed in Biblia, I finally got my LEB to work. Figured out their coding error. But in Noet, the 2nd panel's in eternal search mode (looking for LEB). And in Vyrso, the app completely crashed looking for LEB. That's a first for me! 4.4's definitely competing with Notability for crash champion this week.
Maybe the OP can reproduce the picker issue. Hope so.

i have only tried it on the NKJV, I will try other bibles, and or books to see what I can produce

I could not produce the crash while using these books ESV, AMP, and Strong's Dictionary

Do you have your NKJV downloaded to your iPad?
If so, try removing it and see if the problem persists when accessing it from Logos servers

I removed NKJV, and quit Logos, and then went back into Logos, and it still crashes when selecting the "picker"

What gen iPad, what version of iOS and what version of the Logos app are you using?

Generation = iPad 2, iOS = 8.1.1, Logos app = 4.4.0
