More ideas on studies

In the past, I created a layout for each study I was developing. (I teach an adult Bible study.) For example, I have a layout for our study of John, a layout for our study of Ruth, etc. Plus I created a new layout each time I delivered a sermon (1-2 times a year).

I did that to keep track of the resources I uncovered for the particular study. I kept those resources in layout tabs so I could find them again. But Logos ran pretty sluggishly with that plan.

I have now discovered collections and am putting the resources for a study into a collection, allowing me to keep track of them and bring them up without keeping them in a layout tab just in case I need them.

My question now: is there a better way than collections to do this? Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

Have you looked at using Favorites? Some background information on their usage is at https://wiki.logos.com/Favorites

In the example below I had three resources open at John 2 and "dragged" them to a Favorites folder

If I right-click on the Folder name I get the option of opening all of the resources in a floating window which would restore all of the resources to where they were when you created the Folder

if you find Floating Tool WIndows useful, then this link is a next step in that it uses characteristics of how favorites are stored. This technique is similar to floating tools but when built and opened, it relates to the active Bible Reference.

Custom Go Box and opens several resources/tools to the active Bible Reference.
