Small Suggestion to Improve Mobile Ed

Just a small suggestion... I use dual monitors and when I am working through mobile ed coursework I like to have one monitor with the video playing on full screen and the other monitor with the courseware textbook. Oftentimes as I'm going through the course I open additional resources (often to match what I am seeing on the screen.) I'd estimate that 50% of the time these resources open in the floating window that my full screen video is playing in. This means I have to pause the video, take the video out of full screen, drag the newly opened resource to the coursework panel, re-enlarge the video, and press play again.

I know it's not a huge deal but it'd sure be nice if there was a way to adjust the algorithm so that newly opened resources don't open in windows with fullscreen videos playing.

Makes sense to me. Question: If you swap the screens, putting the video and coursework on opposite sides, does it still open on the video panel?

I run dual monitors too, but when I open up a resource that the video author is referring to, the recently opened book opens over my video. I simple drag that new book to my other monitor. Not really a big issue.

I does not open in a floating window.

Hi David, I tried out your idea and when I switched the two screens (the video is now in the main Logos screen and the coursework is in the floating window on the second screen) I discovered two things. First I can't watch the video in full screen and open up resources because it blocks the command bar as well as the library button. However, if I don't watch the video in full screen and then try to open a resource I noticed that if I open a resource via the command bar or a document or factbook it opens in the main logos screen which has the video, but if I open a resource via the library than it open in a floating window.

Strange.

Either way my preference would be to have the video, in full screen in the floating window so I could access the toolbar in the main logos window and have new resources open in the non-video window.

Hi Milkman, I was just curious when it opens over your video and you drag it to another monitor, is your video in full screen? If not, than I would agree it's not a big deal and easy to drag over. My suggestion was just that all the other steps of pausing, minimizing, dragging and resizing was because I was in full screen.

Yup. My video stays open to the full screen mode.

This should be fixed. It's practically a bug, imo.
