Suggestion: export/import sync tool that is NOT internet dependant -revisited

I would really like to have an export-import tool that allows me to sync the "sync-able" content from desktop to desktop, desktop to mobile devices, and mobile devices to desktop.

I know for the most part this would be unnecessary but I can foresee uses for those who have limited or no internet access while in the file or on missions, or live in a rural area or perhaps even if there was another tech failure.

I'm confused. How could you sync between computers without the internet? Are you talking about using a local area network? Or plugging the devices directly together using a cable? I suspect making either one of those work would be prohibitively complicated and not worth the development time for the small percentage users who often do not have internet access. But it's certainly worth raising the request, if I'm understanding your request correctly.

Export to a USB thumb drives or SD cards was what I had in mind.

Most devices have some sort of built in ability or an attachment to read media from a USB or SD drive. My android device does and so does my iPad.. the desktop being obviously enabled to do so. It would be a small market I'm sure but it would also answer the request for a method of "backing up" that is not dependent on Logos servers/services though that may be a bigger issue/question.
